Meet the Author

Dena holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutrition, and is a nationally registered and state licensed dietitian. Dena began her career as a clinical dietitian in the outpatient clinics of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where she received numerous departmental and institutional honors, as well as one national award for her achievements in nutrition education. During her career, Dena has educated and motivated countless individuals to achieve a variety of health goals related to weight management, chronic disease management, dietary supplementation and general wellness.

More recently, Dena has transitioned home to focus on growing a family, though she still occasionally to meets with clients for personal consultations and holds speaking engagements for M.D. Anderson on a contract basis. Through the formation of Back To The Book Nutrition, Dena now hopes to offer her expertise and experience, within the context of biblical truth, to a wider audience.
