I received a preview copy from the publisher about 2 years ago. It languished in the pile on my desk for many months. Finally, with me home recovering from an injury, I picked it up one day and started reading. Wow! This book was saying all the things I had been trying to get through to my upper-level high school English students for years! The style is clever and amusing--the examples are clear--the advice is priceless. As soon as I could work it into the budget, I ordered books to use in my AP classes. Several of the students loved the book enough to buy their own copy. I highly recommend this book to teachers and to students of writing. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
