For THOSE of us (were all those people really there?) who missed Woodstock for whatever reason (MINE would have been living on the West and not the East Coast, plus my dad would have nixed the idea anyway, oh and my income at the time barely kept me in Doors albums). These reprinted news articles on newsprint (yes, like REAL, old fashioned, pre-online newspapers!) provide insights into the then current perceptions and impressions of the muddy, now legendary, event. My favorite section was a COMPLETE setlist of who played which day and what songs (Mountain did that many songs?). Minor thrills, to be sure, but indispensible for any fanatic collector of all that rocks, especially in the glorious August of 1969. If you are a newspaper hoarder, buy. It's high quality newsprint.

Wonderfully researched and sequenced chronologically, to include articles from later Woodstock festivals and oother relevant news on the performers from the original 1969 festival. The photos are excellent too. This is a great addition to the files of any music historian or aficionado.
