Revealing the essentials of Obamacare, from its history to its implementation, Obamacare for Beginners is an accessible introduction to the key terms, timeline, and regulations of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Obamacare is a complex law, and few have actually read the 2,700 pages in its entirety-including some lawmakers who voted for or against it-let alone understand its full ramifications.
Although Obamacare is complex, understanding its implications for your health shouldn't be. Obamacare for Beginners: Your Survival Guide Book to Beating Obamacare simplifies the law and helps you take the first steps toward navigating your individual health plan.

The beauty of ObamaCare for Beginners: Your Survival Guide Book

The beauty of ObamaCare for Beginners: Your Survival Guide Book to Beating Obamacare is that it reveals how all different types of people in our country are affected. It provided arguments for ObamaCare and arguments against ObamaCare. It explained how ObamaCare affected the working and nonworking class, illegal aliens and citizens. Not only does it explain how it affects different age groups, males and females, it also explains how it affects college students.

I recently read Obamacare for Beginners and found it to be very informative and insightful. It provides strong detail and history on how and why America has come to join other nations in universal healthcare. For years, Americans have been hesitant towards this move as to some it represents a form of socialism. The author does a wonderful job at not taking a viewpoint either way- and provides a fair understanding of both sides for and against Obamacare. This book helped me to better understand the changes that Americans will be enduring, taxes that will be changed, and penalties that will occur if health care is not obtained. It also provided me insight of just exactly how this system pans out and works for all. Overall, I enjoyed this book as it helps to take an important topic that can be very controversial, and provide the facts without swaying your opinion and allows you to come to your own conclusion on the matter. Great read!

If you’re stuck trying to figure out Obamacare, this is a great book.  It’s great to find something on the topic that’s so transparent and succinct.  After giving a brief political health policy history up to Obamacare, the book offers well-defined cases for and against the system.  I found “What Obamacare Means to You” particularly helpful.  I was able to locate a descriptor that best fit me in the list and find out how Obamacare will really affect me.  Obamacare for Beginners made me understand everything better with simple analogies.  After a persuasive argument to arm you for any opposition, the book ends with a timeline of future effects of Obamacare and a wordlist for unfamiliar phrases.  This book is fantastic – highly recommended!

The major effects of ObamaCare, or the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, are set to kick in come 2014, and it only makes sense to make sure you are ready for them. I’m no political junkie, in fact I usually opt out of mudwrestling, but these coming changes are real and will affect all of us. Thankfully, ObamaCare for Beginners offers an easily accessible guide to the law and what it means for you while also being surprisingly thorough. There’s a section dedicated to each group that will be affected by the law, whether you’re a man or a woman, employer or employee, heck, even if you happen to be a pharmaceutical company.

I have just finished reading and rereading the Kindle version of Obamacare for Beginners: Your Survival Guide Book to Beating Obamacare. While the subtitle may hint at a negative interpretation of the subject I found it to be both balanced and informative.
My 5 star review is because the book gave me enough information without drowning me in it; what I needed to understand Obamacare, it merits and shortcoming, and what options I have down the road.
It gives both sides of the debate, the advocates voice and its detractors. It also stresses the unknowns, and there are many. Will there be enough doctors to go around, who will opt in, who will opt out, how will Medicare be impacted?
As I get older I put a higher premium on brevity. Give as me as much information as I need to make an informed decision but do not overwhelm me. This book hit the bull's eye.

This book from Garamond Press manages to steer clear of any partisan influences, and instead focuses on providing facts and comprehensive information about our new health care law, Obamacare. Obamacare for Beginners is exactly that. A detailed and informative book that walks the reader through the history of health care in our country, then goes on to give impartial facts on the pros and cons of this health care plan, and what each individual and business can expect. Lastly, it provides a detailed timeline on when each new feature will be put into effect. A definite must read for anyone wondering what to expect from Obamacare.

Obamacare for Beginners gets 5 stars as it manages to simplify a complex and controversial subject into an easy to understand crash course of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The original 2,500 page Act has been condensed into sections by demographics with the impacts of the changes presented for both before and after taking effect. The history of previous Presidential attempts to reform health care is summarized over a few pages and helps put into perspective the long battle for improvement. In addition to a break down of the Act, Obamacare for Beginners offers arguments from both sides to help provide a more complete look at one of the hottest social issues of our time and arms the reader with enough background and current details to form a more educated opinion of it's passage.

Did you know that ObamaCare or what is formally known as Patient Protection and the Affordable Care Act, aims to provide affordable healthcare to all by emphasizing the importance of preventative care? Free preventative care by insurance companies under ObamaCare will be available to all those who are medically insured. This little tidbit, I gleaned from my reading of OBAMACARE for Beginners – Your Survival Guide Book to Beating ObamaCare.
This guide to ObamaCare has many, such interesting pieces of information about our new healthcare law that was passed in 2008. Every personal library needs a copy of it for a quick and easy reference to

After watching TV, reading through political sites online, and talking with family and friends, I still had a very limited grasp as to what “Obamacare” really meant so I decided to buy this book. The comprehensive scope of information presented throughout the book made it easy for me to understand the upcoming reform to our nation’s health care without insulting my political convictions. The author made a genuine effort to remain impartial by concentrating on facts instead of politics. Thanks to the organization of the book, I was able to succinctly identify my demographic and what challenges and benefits will affect me.

If you’re looking for an easy-to-understand and concise book on Obamacare, Obamacare for Beginners is the book for you. While it certainly does not provide all the information you may need to fully understand Obamacare and every aspect of it, as it is a book for beginners, as evidenced by the title, it gets the job done. My favorite section included information for how Obamacare affects various groups of people, specifically what it was like for the group before the law was passed and how the group will be affected due to the passing of the law. This is the perfect time to learn more about a law that will be affecting all of us in the very near future.

Last week, the House of Representatives voted to repeal Obamacare — for the 40th time. Any bill built by committee – in response to pressure from lobbyists representing every possible interest – is bound to be unwieldy and confusing.  However, once you’ve browsed through Obamacare for Beginners: Your Survival Guide Book to Beating Obamacare you’ll at least have a fighting chance of understanding what’s in the 2700-page law and how it will affect you, your family and your business.

This book is a great introduction to ObamaCare. It explains the intent of ObamaCare and the changes it is intended to make to the U.S. healthcare system. It also covers the possible outcomes of those changes, both positive and negative, all while showing how the bill will effect the lives of different groups. In addition, readers are treated to a history of healthcare reform in the United States. The text ends with a timeline of ObamaCare, a convenient glossary, and recommendations for further reading. Overall, an excellent 101 on a change that will impact every U.S. Citizen.

This book was a waste of my money. The information inside is correct however it doesn't provide anything not all ready presented in the news. It won't help you survive anything.

No specific guidelines. Fair....impartial....maybe. But nothing new or helpful. In my opinion.

There are many moving parts when it comes to Obamacare, and many of us truly aren't even informed as to what it means for each and every one of us. Being a topic of controversy, this book gave extremely helpful facts in an informative yet unbiased way that helped me immensely. The section that was most fascinating to me was reading about the future of Obamacare. We are all concerned about our futures, so understanding the future of our health care industry is crucial. This section talked about how we could be shifting to no longer really having personalized care, and I think every person needs to read and understand what this means in your life. This book was chocked full of extremely helpful information. I feel much better informed and educated thanks to this insightful guide.

I just read Obamacare for Beginners. It is very simplistic and organized and states facts instead of arguing the facts. Was disappointed that the book did not go into more detail. For an individual person, I would recommend. For someone who is researching how Obamacare will affect a business, I would not recommend this book.
