Meet the Author

Following graduation in the 60s from UCLA with a major in Radio TV Production, I spent most of my life as a Writer-Producer-Director and often Talent on thousands of TV commercials and infomercials. I was also a TV personality and Host of California's Super LOTTO. My hobbies included painting, singing and acting. Most importantly I took to writing fiction. An enthusiastic editor published a collection of short stories and novelettes and one was reprinted last winter. It has since been also selected for a new magazine. Recently e-novels FOLLOW THE LEADER and a sci-fi novealla, PAX, along with THE ALTERNATIVE, "a tale of terror" were published on Smashwords. One charming fantasy novel OBERON'S GIFT is also on-line at FREE EBooks and Smashwords under my pen name Richard Dante. My given name is Richard Dante Hardaway. I am married and have two grown children and one grandchild.

Amusing and bemusing novel, entertaining take on American and world politics following the rise of a near perfect protagonist named George Potter, Ph.D, rock star, and POTUS -- yes, all three, thanks to his natural abilities heavily aided and abetted by a leprechaun. If you aren't turned off by this description of such an amusing farce by now, you will love it in spite of the need for editing. Ignore the typos and the occasional text in small type for no apparent reason, sit back, and enjoy the fantasy. Along the way, you may find youself stopping to think a little more seriously than you intended when you started on the journey with George and his family. With a good editor this book could earn five stars.

After reading close to 200 pages i still couldn't find the point of the story. Maybe things wrap up nicely at the end but it's just to slow moving to keep me interested. As a rule once i start reading i'll keep reading until the end. Unfortunately i just couldn't talk myself into continuing with this one. Maybe someone else will find it enjoyable.
