The purpose is primarily to provide acomprehensive framework for occupational therapy students and to be areference and teaching tool for occupational therapy practitionersworking with children. This book is written at level that is suitablefor both undergraduate occupational therapy students as well asoccupational therapists who work with children. I believe this bookwill be most beneficial to the therapist who is new to pediatricoccupational therapy or who may be changing practice arenas. Thisbook features a wide array of knowledgeable authors, many of whom areexperts in their field. The key terms, chapter objectives, and studyquestions help greatly to illustrate the main points of chapters andserve to guide learning. The extensive and pertinent referencesprovided after each chapter are also a nice feature. My overallassessment of this book is that it is a helpful learning tool forstudents and a comprehensive general resource for practitioners. Itprovides an inclusive view of current pediatric occupational therapypractice. I do believe that the reorganization, updates of topics, andaddition of current pediatric information make this third edition avaluable replacement for the existing edition.
