"A truly adorable, amazing and humorous storyline, which will enthuse and delight children and adults alike. " quote from one review on Smashwords.
Don't be mislead by the cover: no clues given and do not expect to know the ending -- a surprise when you get to the end.
With the introduction of Series books: the series of Hollow Log will centre around Ocker Oscar. He and his friends will be followed on their journey emulating humans.
A book for the whole family to discuss again and again. This book is written in English and the vernacular of Australian Slang words.

Meet the Author

A.R. Dent was born in 1945 in Sydney and lived at a beach side suburb. After a turbulent/quiet contrasting early life A.R. Dent then spent time travelling before settling down for a business and professional life.'Been there - done that' about sums up his life.A Professional Artist and now also including his love of writing and poetry into his life.Like many authors, A R Dent is learning the various ways to entertain though the medium of Myth as taught by Joseph Campbell. Using family orientated tales including animals: the story of the Ordinary World becoming the battle ground for self-awareness victories to return a healed person back to normality. This is the world where healing of the hero is paramount... Ocker Oscar even had to learn to punctuate his writings and learn to respect himself. A lot of subtle arcs create a book to be re-read and this is found in A R Dent's stories. The single goal of A R Dent is to create original stories that entertain and heal. The next novel is Hollow Log. A story where Myth and Storytelling is extended to a new height when a dog orphaned is taken on a quest. A quest which will blend pathos with fantasy. An ending so different. An update of the progress.......... Ocker Oscar has a new home. We have had many troubles with rental accommodation and other mundane things which stop the creativity flowing.Ocker Oscar has asked me to tell everyone he is not hiding but simply irate his counterparts, Escere, Fromoth, and his new canine friend, are demanding equal rights as protagonists in a book.Ocker is in a 'not happy Jan' mode and will have to settle for being a second fiddle to other featured animals telling their story as though they are humans.
