A Moving Surprise Let me first say that this is not a typical book for me. I tend toward spies, explosions, or a good thriller. I was told that this story is about abortion. Being against abortion, I didn’t feel I needed to read a book about it. But this book is not as much about abortion to me as it is about choices and how those choices impact so many lives that touch those that make the choices. Both good choices and bad. This book follows the story of Hannah, her family, and her friends as she is confronted with the reality of choices made that have radically altered her life, and in a way, those around her. Eric Wilson brought me into a world filled with emotions, emotions that I haven’t felt in a lot of books that I have read in a long time. I laughed, felt joy, anger, sadness, disgust, and the power of forgiveness. I felt like I was a part of Hannah’s life while reading each page and I was experiencing what she was experiencing. That is a rare feat for any author. I was moved by this book in ways I didn’t expect, and you will be too. It will also challenge you about choices in your life and how they impact others. It will also show you, how with God’s help, you can make the right ones, or if you made the wrong ones how you can make beauty from ashes. October Baby was a wonderful surprise. I highly recommend this book! I was provided an advanced copy of this book by the publisher. I was not paid for my review, nor was I asked to be anything but honest.
