Overview

Hemant Mehta's 32 years of experience as Consultant Ophthalmic surgeon in Wales, UK has been distilled into this excellent practical guide on Oculoplasty. With over 700 photographs and illustrations, plus his unique technique of the conjunctival approach to ptosis surgery (downloadable on our website to buyers) is gaining increasing popularity, making this into one of the latest and most authoritative books on the subject. Mehta has published more than 25 original articles and refereed journals in the UK, US, Europe, Japan and India and is a member of the International Intraocular Implant Club. All clinical images in the book have been photographed and compiled solely by him. Included is a chapter on Clinical photography and a write-up on Sushruta, the ancient Indian surgeon who perhaps performed the first ever cataract surgery in 5th Century BCE and to whom this book is dedicated. The Foreword of the book is by MJ Roper-Hall, author of Stallard's "Eye Surgery" (Churchill-Livingstone), 6th & 7th editions.
