    Of One Blood

Honestly, I think I like this album better than War Within. The solos in my opinion are far better, and I prefer the growling vocals of Brian Fair as opposed to his singing. The guitar work is just amazing. It reminds me of 80's thrash, except better because it's not 80's thrash. I like the fact that they have achieved being super-heavy and at the same time using solos. Slayer still does this, and there a few more bands coming around that are doing this, but Shadows Fall rules the roost when it comes to that blend.

    a triumphant return of technique

Shadows fall sucessfully created an album Of old school speedmetal and british steel without sounding dated. The riffs are blistering and the vocal trade-offs give it a newer feel while keeping up the pace. A must have for any true metal fan.
