Overview

Summer Gresham knows that she's different. After all, she's the only twenty-year-old coed that shapeshifts into a wolf. But her unique nature is a well-hidden secret, so she's baffled to be singled out for a prestigious internship. She's even more stunned when she discovers that the man who wants to hire her--Nash Adamson--specifically requested Summer...and he won't take no for an answer.

Nash has more than a few secrets of his own. Like Summer, he's different, too: a rebel angel in exile. Summer is the key to his freedom, and her warmth and beauty stirs something inside of him that's been sleeping for millennia. She almost makes him forget that he's imprisoned.

Summer suddenly finds herself at the crux of an ancient war, and angels don't care how many mortals get caught in the crossfire. Torn between saving Summer and freeing himself, Nash has to choose what matters most: their love, or his freedom.

    Really good, must read!

Book 1 in the Shattering Heaven series, it's a continuation of The Cain Chronicles. In the timeline takes place between Darkmoon and Sacrificed in Shadow, however it could stand on it's own as a fantasy romance. The only reason I bought it is because I saw it online described as "a fantastic romance between a beautiful young werewolf and a god-like angel in exile", it's definitely a good read and I'm gonna buy the rest of this authors books. If you buy it you won't be dissapointed.

By far my favorite one from the Cain Chronicles Series! I loved

By far my favorite one from the Cain Chronicles Series!

I loved the relationship between Summer & Nash! It was too cute & too sweet.. I loved how he was with her! I think I need him to be mine as a matter of fact.. I however did not like Summer's brother & currently still do not sadly! I think the only thing I hated about this book was that it was just not long enough & the fact that I wanted to know more of the relationship between Nash & Summer..

    Very Interesting Storyline

I enjoyed this book. I really liked the creativity and imagination that went into creating the story line. Like many other reviews I'm hoping that future installments will give the reader a more in depth view into the two main characters. The reader only starts to see the more complex pieces of the male main character toward the end. This book had lots of potential for a continuing story, and the reader was left at the end with a hook, so I'm hoping that the story will continue.

    Interesting

This almost reads like an accesory bovel to a full series. Set in a pocket of time and space held separate from the "real world" this book follows the attempts of an exiled group of supernaturals trying to escape. There's a strange mix of angel-folk, monsters and shapeshifters presented here which constantly made me feel that I was missing something- that there was more story and background to the characters that I *should* know, but dont. Otherwise, story is well written. Low levels of violence, light romance, nothing too risque all around. An enjoyable easy read.
