Jerry LandesmanThis is a book about the end of innocence in America and Cassady's attempt to come to terms with its casualties, including herself… It's one hell of a story.

It is interesting to receive a feministic viewpoint from the famed Beat Generation. Carolyn does a great job in illustrating the softer side of Neal, the side that Kerouac doesn't necessarily get into in On the Road. If you are Beat Generation fan to the heart and have read beyond On the Road and The Dharma Bums, then I suggest that you check out this and see the Second Third of Neal Cassady. Was this review helpful?
