Barnes & Noble - Lisa Zhito
Offerings, round one of Third Day's foray into praise & worship, was an immediate hit and set the Atlanta-based band apart as that rarest of things: a rock outfit willing to take risks. Count this as another one. Following their critical and commercial smash, Come Together, the southern rockers return with a second praise & worship collection, and it's just the thing to revitalize this genre. Blending solid power-rock anthems, uplifting ballads, and an inspirational praise message, II is as solid as its predecessor. Following their critical and commercial smash, Come Together, the southern rockers return with a second praise & worship collection, and it's just the thing to revitalize this genre. Blending solid power-rock anthems, uplifting ballads, and an inspirational praise message, II is as solid as its predecessor. Offerings II blends live and studio recordings -- and in this case, those live cuts come from the band's hugely successful 2002 tour. That gives this collection some considerable punch. Of the new material, four songs were written by the band, all solid pieces of songcraft. "Anything" and Third Day's cover of Rich Mullins's "Creed" are richly textured performances, but for sheer energy and passion, you can't beat the live cut "Show Me Your Glory." When it comes to praise & worship, it seems a second helping of Offerings is just what we've been needing.
All Music Guide
Southern rock band Third Day did not anticipate critical acclaim and record-breaking tours following the release of their 2000 project Offerings: A Worship Album. Yet the band skyrocketed to a new level of success and increased audiences with the release. Birthed by the insistence of fans, it became the group's best-selling project as of 2002 and heralded a follow-up album. The second in the series, Offerings II: All I Have to Give was released in March 2003. The band stays true to the musical style of past projects, offering listeners the rock sound they have come to love, blended with frontman Mac Powell's vocals. Featuring six live and six studio recordings, the project consists of both new and previously recorded songs. Favorites such as "Show Me Your Glory," "God of Wonders," and "Take My Life" are interspersed with new tracks including "Sing a Song," "Offerings," and "May Your Wonders Never Cease." ~ Ashleigh Kittle Slater

    I Love God.

This is my first Third Day CD, and it will not be my last. I'm new to the Christian Rock thing, I hope its here to stay. Sing a Song is the best song on the album. This is just a great Praise + Worship album. If music helps you get closer to Jesus, then you must buy this CD. Get a copy for your best friend, and they will thank you.

    owubenzz-E...this cd is awsome!

Third Day is one of the few groups that i've stuck with for years. Their songs have touched me in so many ways. You can look at them and wonder how God couldn't be in their lives becuase He has blessed them in so many ways. Offerings I is the starting point in worship and Offerings II is the Grand Finale. Let me just say this: if they've got another one comeing out, watch out! It'll be a hit bigger than the first 2 combined. If you don't have em, get em. You won't regret it.
