Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
The Barnes & Noble Review
Celebrate the spirit of toddlerdom with this cheery collection of baby phrases and rhymes from Leo Landry.

In 12 sunny categories -- from Baby Food to Noisy Babies to Baby Bedtime -- Landry has tots all dressed up, doing silly things, and being in the unlikeliest of places. In Nature Babies, "Starfish baby stays on the shore" shows a smiling bundle of joy with its arms wrapped around a coral-colored starfish. "Police baby is on the beat" in Baby Works, with a blonde sweetie in police uniform, riding her tricycle. Whether it's snowsuit baby saying "Let it snow" in Baby Clothes or piggy baby taking a mud bath with his pink piglet friend, all of Landry's toddlers are cute as a button and shining bright.

Sure to elicit plenty of oohs and aahs with Landry's simple illustrations and inventive babies, Oh, Baby! will tickle any child looking for a sweet treat and charm any adult seeking the perfect gift. Guaranteed to bring a glow to any reader's face! Matt Warner

Publishers Weekly
Oh, Baby! A Celebration of Babies by Leo Landry, looks at little ones in a variety of quirky contexts. Small watercolor vignettes accompanied by short texts depict, for example, under the heading "Nature Babies," a baby riding on a leaf with the words "Leaf baby blows in the wind." Occasionally longer traditional rhymes are used; in "Baby Works," an illustration of a baby riding a train engine is paired with the opening lines of "I've been working on the railroad." This book is great-- great pictures! Landry's babies are REALLY cute. It's a book that kids love and that adults aren't falling asleep reading. It's short and sweet!
