    great book for toddler

Great story for a toddler who will be entering school, daycare or any new situation without their parent for the first time. My 3 year old loves it.

    Precious Story!

I Love, Love, Love this book. I found this book when I was 8 months pregnant with my son, and I almost cried as I stood in the isle reading it. As I brought it up to the counter to purchase I laughed at myself for being an emotional pregnant lady. I soon realized it wasn't just that I was extra emotionally, this story is just so special! It's a very moving well written example of a mothers love. I still get choked up just thinking about it. Buy this it's a must have!!!

    Excellent book for little ones!

Bought this book for my son when he was about 18 months old. He called it the 'baby bird' book. It was the only book he would take off the shelf and bring to me, so that we could read it together. As a working mom, I rarely got through the first pages without crying, as leaving him each day was the hardest thing to do. The book helped him to understand mommy missed him, too, and I thought of him all day long, and treasured our reunion at the end of each day. At the end of the story, my son always wrapped his little arms around my neck in the tightest hug. He never said a word as we read this book, he didn't have to. It so appropriately expressed how he felt, as well. I recommend this book as a gift for any mom, most especially for those who work outside the home.

    A Very Special Story

It's the only book my son would sit through. We've memorized it and repeat it together often.

A Great book for kids starting school

I bought this book a year before my son Charlie started school. He has it memorized and when he's anxious in the morning, reciting a few lines always helps to reassure him that mommy always comes back.

    Not Just For Working Moms

I'm a stay-at-home mom, but have found this book incredibly helpful in teaching my toddler about staying in the church daycare, with grandma, etc. It's helped her to understand that I'm coming back when she's in someone else's care. She requests it all the time!

    a wonderful book

I'm not a working mom, still this book touched my heart. It's written from the heart (of a mother) and will certainly touch anyone who loves a child so much that it hurts to say 'I see you later'. I was impressed with the illustration, which expresses the affection between the mother and the child so well. The bodies, the postures of the characters remind me of my children at the age of one to three.
