Once upon a time, there was a Princess named Kayla who had a best friend named Ducky. They were always very, very happy, EXCEPT ...
When they had to get a shot. Then they would cry, and they would yell.
They did not want the doctor or the nurse or anyone else in the whole wide world to give them a shot!
But one day Princess Kayla decided enough was enough. She was going to be brave!
So she sat down with Ducky and made a list of all the ways she could forget about that scary, yucky shot.
And this is exactly what she decided to do ... breathe in and out, and in and out, and in and out, and in and out.
Play a game of I spy with Ducky.
Lick her favorite flavor lollipop (or two or three).
