Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal
Gr 4-6-Native Americans, historical events, farm festivals, and folklore and legends are a few of the topics covered in this series. Each subject-specific volume is well laid out and easy to follow. Bright maps, sidebars of information, and photographs enhance the texts. The suggested readings are current and appropriate for this age level. Native Peoples and People go into more detail than single volumes such as Ann Heinrichs's Ohio (Children's, 1999), and would be the volumes of choice. Most of the material in the other volumes is readily available elsewhere, but the books will be useful in libraries in Ohio.-Krista Tokarz, Cuyahoga County Public Library, OH Copyright 2003 Reed Business Information.
