    Not what I expected

I was expecting this book to help someone like me who is an absolute beginner in oil pastels. I felt like there was not enough instruction in how to work with oil pastels. I did take away a few bits of information concerning working with oil pastels but not enough information to actually get started in working with oil pastels. Also I did not care too much for the author's choices in the color schemes of his artwork--it seemed too dull for me ( I like bright vibrant colors).
