PG-RATED FUN!

OLD MAID OF HONOR (An LDS Romantic Comedy)
Part-time clown Amelia White has a detailed list of traits and accomplishments that make for her perfect man and she won't marry anyone lacking even one of them. Perhaps that's why she's nearly thirty and still unmarried.
Always a bridesmaid, never a bride seems to apply to both her and her roommate, until Stacy announces her upcoming and unexpected wedding.
Now Amelia is feeling like an Old Maid of honor.
When she is introduced to Ben Adams and begins to spend time with him, she is delighted to check off all the items on her list and believes he might just be The One. As she falls in love, she learns she has assumed a great deal and Ben is not the man she thought he was. But, even so, could he prove to be the perfect man for her?

It’s a full-length novel of 71,000 word (about 250 print pages). The paperback version will be available soon.

(Note: It's labeled as an LDS Romantic Comedy because the main character is LDS/Mormon and so some of the items on her perfect-husband list are LDS-specific; however, the book, itself, is just good clean fun about a woman who's ready for love but is afraid it's never going to find her--and it might not, until she loses her list.)

Meet the Author

Raised overseas by her shop-til-you-drop mother and pay-for-the-purchases oilman father, avid mystery and romantic comedy lover Heather read her way through Colombia, Venezuela, London, Kuwait, and Iran--and later bought a video store so she could watch stories on the little screen, too.

She loves anyone who can make her laugh, which explains why she adores her witty husband, her funny friends, Anne George mysteries, Bill Cosby, and her cute little dog Gus. She loves to cook for friends, siblings, and especially her children and stepchildren and their families. She and her husband reside in Utah. You can find her online at www.BooksByHeatherHorrocks.com.

    Great Story!

Heather Horrocks has done it again with "Old Maid of Honor". The lead character in this story almost misses out on a wonderful man because of a list of qualities she thinks her guy must have. It is a great story. Heather has a way of getting the reader very involved in the story! Thanks, Heather! Can't wait for the next book!

    Great!

I really love Heather Horrocks! Her stories are always fun. But since I am not LDS I was reluctant about this title. I was really feeling the need for a new Heather book so I went ahead and bought this one. I am really glad I did. This book was great! There were a couple of references I did not get but could easily understand in context. Overall this was a great story about a woman deciding about what she wants out of a spouse and if she can forgive the people she loves for not being as perfect as she wants them to be.

    I LOVED IT!!!

I read Ms. Horrocks’ book, How to Stuff a Wild Zucchini, and loved it. =) I was so glad to see she had a new one out! It was just as delightful as the first one. Thanks for the great read.

    This is a great book!

Old Maid of Honor is a fun story about a woman who is a little too judgmental to begin with. She has a list with everything that she wants in a husband and rejects any man who doesn’t have them all. One slips by her, though, and she has to realize that maybe she can be happy with someone who has most of the things on her list. I loved it!
