This collection mixes veterans of old-timey music with younger advocates of the style, and the result is a delightful sampler for the music and for Rounder Records, which has supported things by issuing albums by most of the musicians included here. Among the high points are guitarist Etta Baker's classic "One Dime Blues," Will Keys' beautiful banjo piece, "Waltz Kitty Waltz," and the dual banjos of Jody Stecherand Kate Brislin's "Elkhorn Ridge."
