    BEAUTIFUL ART, PROSE AND SENTIMENT

I am ordering two copies today after seeing my friend's scrapbook for her parents' 50th anniversary. She used the pages of this beautiful (in all ways) book as background at the beginning of her scrapbook. It takes two copies to do that. I was so moved by the art and message of the book, and her creative use of it, that I must have it. It is a true treasure.

    Made my professor cry

This book is touching to those of us who are not yet old and in love. It means much more to those who are in that position. In one of my classes, the professor, in honor of Valentine's, read us this-- her favorite short book. In the middle of the book she started crying. She's had the book for over a year. I'm sure that she has read it many times, but I was touched by how much it still impacted her. My parents are not yet to the age where this book would have a profound effect on them, but for those of you who have parents in their fifties and older, this would make a great gift (though it is written from a husband's perspective).
