    COMPELLING. OUTSTANDING HISTORICAL VALUE

Wow! Lisa did her research. All authentic characters except two. Fictional drama nicely woven into historical facts. Had to make a genealogy chart to help me understand relationships. The sexual scenes were very understated, leaving much to the imagination. Society and mores of the 11th century were explicitly detailed and allowed me to mentally absorb the brutality and insensitivity of the nobility and religious. I loved this book and will read it again. But I needed a regional map of Europe to find the countries that do not exist today. A glossary would also be helpful, as many ancient words are not in the dictionary. (what is a handfasted wife?) Thank you,Lisa, for all your hard work on this book.

    interesting,but too much sex

Well written & researched historical novel. Pretty interesting, but too many sex scenes spoiled it for me!

    Would Not Recommend

This books started out ok, but it became so silly, I just couldn't finish it. And it was not particularly well written.

    Great historical romance!

I loved this well researched and well written historical romance that takes place in 11th century Europe. I would love to read more historical fiction by this author.
