Overview

When Michael Duncan is sent to investigate the disappearance of several dragon subjects, he finds himself in a bind. Locked in a dungeon, his only hope lies wrapped in a bundle of cloth tossed at his feet. One kiss and his life is changed forever. Hunted by his own people for crimes he didn’t commit, Michael has to learn a whole new life at the hands of a beautiful woman. Can she help him clear his name, or will just being in her presence get him sentenced to death?

Carissa Markel doesn’t know who this man chained to the wall is, but he’s her only chance for escape. She has power, but, born without a voice, she lacks the means to wield it. One choice, made in desperation, sends them running for his life. Does she have the strength to help him clear his name? And what will her brother, the King of Dragons, do if he finds out what she’s done? That’s immaterial, the real question is… can she keep her hands off him long enough to find out?

It was really good. I just wished it was a little longer. To the person who said it was unimiginative....you are wrong! The author made a completely new world for dragons. I recommend reading this, very entertaining and a good read!

One of the lamest stories I've ever read. The author needs to get more practice or find another hobby. Knitting, maybe?

I loved this book. This writter does need some seasoning, for instance, learn the difference between "then" and "than", but her imagination has made her one of my new favorite authors.

A quick, enjoyable read. Well-written. Nice little mystery to keep the plot moving & the characters busy. Carissa and Michael are fun protagonists. I gave it 4 stars because it is a fun, lust-heavy, dragon romance (even though there isn't any actual sex, but lots of thinking about it) told simply and well for what it is. Dragons have a pheromone that is very *distracting* to humans, so poor Michael spends a lot of time thinking about how to keep his man-part under control, or what he would like to do if he wasn't a gentleman. The hard part (pardon the pun) of having characters who *know* their mate is that the main characters spend most of the time trying to control their hormones instead of getting to know each other, which is a bummer for someone who likes to read characters who grow & develop together over the course of a story.

Great dragon story and very funny.

Oversexed. Borderline erotica. Not my cup of tea.

Unlike the author, I will be mercifully brief. Though prominent, the dragons are an afterthought. As are plot, real characters, and any sense of how a good story flows. It is all a thinly veiled excuse for an uninteresting and poorly constructed rendezvous. Really poorly done and, at best, deserving of a muscle-bound, windswept hair scene for a cover illustration. If there is such a thing as "low fantasy", this is it.
