Alex Rodriguez is the one of the best professional baseball players to play the game of baseball since the most recent years. Drafted right out of high school, he has suffered none of the adjustment problems that typically happen to young players. On the contrary, he has shown the world what it means to be a superstar, not just on the field but off the field as well. His outstanding play with the Seattle Mariners helped send that team to post-season playoff games year after year. Yet never has A-Rod let success and fame go to his head. Alex Rodriguez's commitment to the game and sportsmanship has made him respected and admired by fellow players and fans all over the world. Alex went from the Seatlle Mariners to the Texas Rangers and from the them to the New York Yankees. This biography is a older biography and doesnt have everything from the most recent years with the Yankees. Even though its not new its still a great book and i suggest it to everyone out there if you like the sport of baseball and you want to learn about one of the best players out on the baseball diamond right now.

Alex Rodriguez grew up in a poor family in the Dominican Republic. His father was a catcher and the baseball genes were passed down to Alex. Alex's father left him and his mother when Alex was young. Alex went through all kinds of baseball teams like high school double and triple A teams. One day a scout for the Texas Rangers caught one of his games and offered him to come up to the big leauges. Alex was pleased to come up to the MLB and at the party celebrating the most exciting thing happened for Alex, his father called to congratulate him and alex hasnt heard from him again yet.

Alex Rodriguez grew up poor in the Dominican Republic. He played baseball with a taped ball and a yellow bat. He startedplaying baseball at age 6. Now he playes for the Texas Rangers. I felt that this book truly gave the reader a feel for what kind of a person Alex is. I reaally enjoyed reading it.

Just enough for him to become your favorite player, and you will never take your eyes off the book and make sure to watch every game of his (Texas Rangers), and will read the book so many times, that can't even count to the number!
