Highly Recommended! Perfect for your Nook!

On These Silken Sheets is a great book to read with others to giggle about and/or discuss with friends. If you are too shy to enjoy this book anywhere other than behind the locked door of your bedroom, reading this on your Nook gives you subtle privacy that attracts zero attention. No need for strange book covers!

    Definitely worth $9.99

All of the stories are short but you don't even notice because they're full and complete stories with plenty of details. I love that each story follows a side character from the story before it so it doesn't matter that it's short because they don't have to set a background up each time. I highly recommend this book. The sex is graphic and erotic and detailed but nothing goes to far into anything abnormal or demeaning. This was a great book.

An emotional roller-coaster! A fantastic read! This is not your everyday escapist historical romance!

This is a great collection of romantic stories. It's the fictional equivalent of a gourmet taster's menu.

As an appetizer, I was delighted with Carolina's enthusiasm with a side of her aunt's pragmatism. The second story gave me a hero I would love to have for my own. I adored how Maggie and Lord Oakley combined sensuality with intelligence. I felt like these were characters I could respect. And then I turned the page and started Diana's story. This is one of my favorites.

Just when I longed for something darker, I got to read this. With this story, Sabrina Darby shows us the owner of Harridan House in action. I don't know what to write without spoiling the plot but this story and the characters are so well written that my take on a controversial issue was shaken. Sabrina Darby never takes the easy way out with her characters and that makes her stories riveting.

After the wonderful angst, it was time for some fun and Lucy and Sir Robert's story is indeed fun and heartwarming. From the very beginning, Sir Robert's character intrigued me. Did I say Lord Oakley was my favorite her? Maybe that place should go to Sir Robert. Both Lucy and Sir Robert are very self aware (actually almost all the characters are extraordinarily perceptive and realistic about their situations). I think that's what I adore the most about Sabrina Darby's writing. Yes, her stories are sensual, the perfect bathtub reading material, and yet I felt like the character's were intelligent (as well as emotionally intelligent) which made reading the stories especially delightful.

I really love how the book ends with a new mistress of Harridan House. This book seems to have everything. Each story provides an interesting take on a romantic convention. But this quartet is more than a collection of pastiches or parodies. Every character, not just the protagonists, but also friends, ex-lovers, romantic rivals, etc. draws me in. I would love to read more in this world. (Lord Ashburton's story and Lord Oakley's younger brother are two people in particular who I want to know more about.)

I know that this book is a keeper and I will be rereading the stories again and again.

four hot fun interrelated erotic Regency romances

"Against the Wall." Carolina vowed she would never marry Viscount Stanton although she loves him and his touch; she believes she would be better of wed to Lord Oakley or Sir Robert George.

"The Education of Lord Oakley." Lord Oakley may be heartbroken but recovers rather quickly when he meets a woman who has his heart thumping at Harridan House private club.

"Roses Are Rouge". The mysterious owner of the Harridan House Lady Diana Blount only shows up at her house of depravity as the masked Rouge. She plans to never fall in love, but her heart fails to heed her head.

"A Maid for the Taking." At Harridan House, Sir Robert decides have fun with the owner's assistant Lucy, but never expected to fall in love

These four interrelated erotic Regency romances are hot fun for sub-genre fans.

The best romance I've read this year!

An exciting read from the first page to the last. This is romance writing at its best.
Ms. Darby 's novellas are compelling and literary. She provides the reader with inspiring narrative, deftly drawn characters and extraordinary historical perspective.

    Not very memorable

I read this a while ago and I can't really remember what it was about. So not very memorable for either very good or very bad.

    Read in Record Time!

An ebook that I could not put down. . .4 stories that are masterfully & rather surprisingly interwoven! Def erotic with many hot encounters, but Ms. Darby is quite a storyteller. Only downside? I wanted MORE of these characters.
