Meet the Author

Award-winning author Kimberly Raye has always been an incurable romantic. While she enjoys reading all types of fiction, her favorites, the books that touch her soul, are romance novels. From sexy to thrilling, sweet to humorous, she likes them all. But what she really loves is writing romance -- the hotter the better! She started her first novel back in high school and has been writing ever since. Kim lives deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country with her very own cowboy, Curt, and their young children. She's an avid reader (she reads all the Blaze books), loves Diet Dr. Pepper, chocolate, Toby Keith, chocolate, alpha males and chocolate. Kim also loves to hear from readers. You can visit her online at www.kimberlyraye.com.

Karen was a bibliophile at a young age. While other children were dragging around well-worn and well-loved blankets and teddy bears, Karen was dragging around books. In all shapes, sizes, and colors, they were her constant companions. It's no wonder that she is now writing her own books.

Karen read her first romance novel, the The Princess Bride by William Goldman, in high school. After reading about Buttercup and her love Karen was hooked, and moved on to The Sheik, a well-worn copy that was given to her by her Valentino-loving grandmother. These books opened up the world of true love to Karen, bringing with it all the excitement, joy, and heartache contained in the human heart. Karen found out that romance writers know how to make love grow.

Coming from the conservative state of Vermont, it surprised Karen that she loved creating hot, sexy heroes, and the strong women who tame them. But beneath all thatconservatism beat the heart of a true rebel! Karen has escaped to culturally diverse Northern Virginia and is doing her best to raise two daughters, each a rebel in their own right. Between her roles as an administrative assistant for a university dean and single working mother, it's an adventure for Karen to find time to get in a few hours of writing amidst the mundane chores and reigning chaos of everyday life.

Karen asks readers to hook themselves to her bandwagon and hopes they enjoy reading her stories as much as she enjoys writing them. But she suggests you don't drag them around — it's murder on the covers.

Samantha has spent her entire life in the Finger Lakes region of central New York, where she lives with her husband, her yellow lab and her two cats (more pets are always an imminent possibility!). Sam has been writing since she was able to hold a pen, creating all kinds of stories, poems and even small books in her childhood. She was educated in creative writing with a focus on poetry as an undergraduate and then earned her master's in English and taught writing at a local university for more than ten years.

Discovering a deep interest in the environment, particularly the status of the world's coasts and oceans, Sam quit teaching and earned another dual master's degree in environmental geography and public administration. Sam's first book, Virtually Perfect, was sold in January 2004 while she was searching for environmental jobs upon completing her degrees. Receiving "the call" was a turning point that encouraged her to take another detour and pursue a full-time career as a romance author.

Keeping up with environmental interests, Sam supports several environmental organizations in addition to writing. She'd eventually like to merge her two major interests by writing sexy romances with environmental themes. Sam's favorite activities include building and paddling sea kayaks with her husband, gardening, candle making, cooking and collecting and reading tarot cards. Her future goals include traveling more and writing many, many books!

Jennifer LaBrecque grew up with a passion for reading. In fourth grade, she wrote a short story for a class assignment. The teacher swore it moved her to tears. She also fast gained a reputation as a class clown in school. She had set her course.

Although, Jennifer began college on a journalism scholarship, she graduated with a degree in marketing. She went on to work in the buying department of an international athletic footwear retailer.

However, what she loved most about that job was regaling her co-workers with funny stories in the break room. Following a stint as a freelance writer, proofreader, and public relations consultant, Jennifer couldn't ignore the obvious. She began to write romance.

Today, Jennifer juggles her inquisitive, delightful daughter, the pest control company which she co-owns with her heroic husband, four bad cats, a cherished dog, and writing romantic comedy. In her spare time, reading remains a passion, as does hiking, and talking.

She loves to hear from readers. Snail mail goes to P. O. Box 801068, Acworth, GA. 30101. Keep checking in, as a website is in the works.

Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a computer career and pursuing a master's degree at night when an instructor remarked she had a flair for writing and encouraged her to submit to academic journals. Once the seed was planted, however, Stephanie immediately turned to creating romance fiction in her spare time.

"I never saw myself as a comedy writer, until a Harlequin editor asked if I could write comedy. I lied and said not only did I write comedy, but I had a great idea for a book she might be interested in, and shot her an idea from the top of my head. When she said she liked it, I told her I had three chapters finished to send her right away. Then I went home and wrote like a madwoman. That book was my first Harlequin comedy, Irresistible."

Harlequin purchased Irresistible from Stephanie in the fall of 1995 for their Love and Laughter line. In another two years, she left her computer career to write full-time. She now writes for the Harlequin Temptation and Harlequin Blaze lines, having gained notoriety for her spicy romantic comedies, such as Too Hot to Sleep and It Takes a Rebel.

Stephanie lives with her husband in Atlanta, Georgia, her laptop permanently attached to her body. Readers can write her at P.O. Box 54266, Atlanta, GA 30308, or through her web site.
