I loved the author's imagination, she had some of the most origional characters I've read in a long time. The book was light but kept me from putting it down. I had to see how it was going to end. If you read to escape the ordinary and laugh then this is a great book for you. It's a satire on corporate America but done so well you keep forgetting that and focus on the well told story. I hope she writes more like this.

Fun skewering of some of the ridiculousness that goes on at work. I could relate to all of it. Clever, original and funny.

This is a hilarious romp through the cubicles. Almost every chapter had a situation that I have experienced myself in the workplace. This is great satire!

We all love our jobs, right? How would you feel if you had to wear a clown outfit and play a kazoo at staff meetings? Better or would it be worse than what you do now? This book makes you wonder about that and also about what the bosses are really doing behind closed doors. A fun book with a flash of mystery and the laughs of a three ring circus.

This book is very wacky and has a lot of twist and turns. Pretty good if you have nothing else to read. Very long!

This book starts out a bit weak, gains strength through the middle even if it is missing pieces and seems to have things thrown in that don't actually fit the timeline (how is a cc bill due days after a business trip and why would the cc company call the owners MOTHER?). It has a unique and humerous view of life in an office but at the same time it is completely absurd. I could have handled the total off the wall nature of the book except the last part of the book totally gets ridiculous in a bad way and goes from funny bad to just plain awful. Thankfully this was a free book as I can't imagine having paid for it then getting to the ending and realizing I paid actual money for it. Plenty of good ideas but needs a total overhall to be considered more than an attempt at a solid story.

I read the book in two days. The zany characters and twists will keep you glued to the pages. Mandy didnt know what she walked into and neither will you. Enjoy.

A strange story but I got through it. Hard to keep up with who is talking...probably due to a lot of poor editing.

I almost wasn't going to read it based on the reviews...but i'm glad i did. I thought it had a basic plot and very imaginative. It did end somewhat abruptly but it wasn't a weird ending; it was natural given the circumstances of the story. It wasn't as long as it seemed either. I got a little freaked out thinking it was 1407 pages. But for every time i tapped forward on the screen, the page count advanced about 3-4 pages. So it really wasn't that terribly long. If you don't like perfect formatting then you might have a problem with this book--the formatting was a bit tricky to get in sync with. But overall it was an entertaining book-it reminded me of The Office tv show.

This book is actually packed with clever, funny scenes. Unfortunately, they're strung together very loosely in a plot that wanders, with no motivation from scene to scene. The writing is pretty good, so it's worth reading, but don't expect to follow a logical, internally-consistent plot.

Hard to understand who was speaking because it all ran together without identifying the person speaking @ when a different person started speaking. Bad formatting. Words split without any "rhyme or reason". The Pig Latin part went on and on. Ugh! The ending was a big disappointment.

The whole book was odd with weird jerks from one scene to the next. While I enjoy workplace humor this would be better as a comic/graphic novel than a book. Strongly reminds me of Dibert.

Overall, the story line was entertaining. There were some characters that didn't fit, but they did not take away from the book. It will keep you entertained.

This book was horrible!! I thought this was going to be a good book but instead I got this! When I was reading I kept saying in my mind "keep reading, its going to get better".......... it didn't get better. I did not like this book at all and i do not reccomend this book.

The subject matter is entertaining, but there were parts with blatant grammatical errors that made it difficult to follow.

It took me a while to decide whether or not I liked this book, but over all I did. It was sometimes hard to remember that it was meant to be a critique of the business world...I think!

I loved this book. Used to work at AT&T and had major de ja vous from this book. Just neurotic enough to be realistic and very funny too! Enjoyed this book to the end.

Um, what do I say about a book like this? I don't work in an office anymore but might not be so bad. lol If you need to read something different, I guess this would be a good choice..Most of the time you're wondering, "What the heck?" just as the main character is.

Way too farfetched in many spots, it's a decent read for free.
