"Care to take those boots for a spin, Miss O'Keefe?"
Jen O'Keefe will agree to just one dance with coolheaded cowboy Drew Laramie. But only for old times' sake. She can't risk losing her heart to him again.
Drew left Larch Valley, promising Jen he'd return. When he didn't, she moved on…. Now the childhood sweetheart Jen had stopped waiting for is back!
I came across "One Dance with the Cowboy" after having read "Her Lone Cowboy". Both books were light, enjoyable, romantic reads which interested me enough to seek out other Donna Alward books. I discovered that there are actually four books by this author with connecting storylines to Larch Valley and/or the Laramie brothers (Andrew and Noah). Each book stands alone. You don't have to have read the other books in order to enjoy the individual storylines. 1. The Rancher's Runaway Princess (2009) - Brody Hamilton and Lucy Farnsworth's story. Introduces characters Betty Polcyk, Agnes Dodd and Jen O'Keefe. 2. Montana, Mistletoe and Marriage - A Bride for Rocking H Ranch (2009) - Mack Dennison/Kelley Hughes story. This story does take place in Montana, but it introduces Andrew Laramie while he's working in the states as a veterinarian. 3. One Dance with the Cowboy (2010) - Andrew (Drew) Laramie/Jen O'Keefe's story. Brody and Lucy are back as well as Betty Polcyk, and Agnes Dodd. Clay Gregory, Dawson Briggs, and Lily Germaine are introduced. 4. Her Lone Cowboy (2010) - Noah Laramie/Lily Germaine. Andrew and Jen are back as well as Clay Gregory and Dawson Briggs. There is also a brief update on Cody and Lucy Hamilton.
