TWENTY-FOUR HOURS: A DAY THAT WOULD EITHER FREE AN ENTIRE PLANET- OR UTTERLY DEVASTATE IT

A nonstop futuristic thrill-ride, through the critical events which were the breaking point for the underclass of Martian citizens and precipitated a revolution to break the Martian colonists free from the formidable Sol System government. The formerly red planet—now in danger of again becoming red, blood red—would never be the same, nor would the human race.

It was one day that changed the course of history for the Solar System, raging from hand-to-hand combat to piloted armored mecha suits clashing to an enormous space battle, with dedicated heroes on both sides of the conflict wondering if they were doing the right thing—and if they would live to see another day. And wondering, as well, if the spark of this new war, that would eventually reach across whole star systems, would bring them peace.

Saw Mr. Taylor on a Discovery Channel show and decided to give one of his books a try, my mistake. The book is an escalating series of space battles and land skirmishes that allow Taylor to kill off a large cast of two-dimensional characters in various acts of valiant self-sacrifice. Reading the book is the rough equivalent of listening to someone tell you about playing Halo.

I enjoyed this book very much Travis S Taylor does a very good job of telling the story of some of the people of Mars revolting aganist Earth using comparsions of our own history to show how people still repeat it. but that is just the begining. In this story you will be following the day of several characters in one day on Mars during a war. The ending may suprise you. Although I did enjoy this book I like his writhig beter when he joins with John Ringo for some realy great books.

Talk about non-stop action, and while still being REAL SF! Mechas that make sense, spaceships, fighters, grunts, and political manuvering. Could not put down.
