The Book was written by Mary Poep Osborne. It took place in a cave several men was trapped in a cave by a giant The giant ate a lot of the men and killed a few. The men plotted ways to excape but they couldnt think of a way out.Intill one day they they thoughe of a way out. They thought that they needed to poke out the giants eye. So all of the men sharpened a log and when the giant was lying down sleeping the men woke him up and when he opened his eye the pooked it with the log. And excaped by prying open the door with a nother log. The conflict of the book was that the men was trapped in a cave and was ben killed and eaten by a giant. The main characters name was Zeaus he led his men the giant island where a lot of the men was killed and eaten. The title was The One Eyed Giant I thought that the Tittle really suited the storry.

This story was very interesting because of the one eyed giant; and the writer made it exciting. It has some interesting history in it, the Trojan War and the Greek myths. T.F.O is a retelling of the Greek Homer epic poem, The Odyssey. VERY good!!

Super format for kids to read on their own or aloud. My 9 year old son just finished this first book and is disappointed that we have not yet bought the 2nd book. He is eager to read it. Very kid friendly of a historic epic.
