Firehouse 5, Book One

Firefighter Luke Puckett doesn't want to get involved with anyone; not after his brother perished fighting a fire, leaving behind a wife and four kids. Then Luke pulls a woman and her child out of a burning house, and is stunned to find she's his college ex. Though he fights to stay away, Luke's desire for her lush curves is impossible to battle.
Josie Springer escapes the enormous house fire with nothing but the clothes on her back and her daughter. As she begins to recuperate from her losses, she finds she's gained something bigger since Luke walked back into her life. She's always held a candle for this lover who dumped her with little explanation.
While their relationship sears between the sheets, Josie and Luke still harbor personal doubts it will work-until a near tragedy forces them take another look.

Reviewed by: Crystal Book provided by: Publisher Review originally posted at Romancing the Book This is one hot scorching read from beginning to end. I was on fire from page one. Luke is a firefighter who is called in when no other one will go. His nickname is Lucifer. So when I house is on fire he is called in to get the people out. That’s when he saves the only woman he ever loved, Josie, and her daughter. I really liked the way they explode when they see each other again. The past doesn’t matter once they touch. This story will be hotter than any fire you have ever seen. Watch out because you just might get burned. The author has a way with her characters and she left me wanting more. I was so into this book. I know that I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I believe the author did a great job bringing out the emotions of both characters. It made me stop and think that I should tell the person that mean the world to me that I love them. You never know if that will be the last time that you ever see them.
