So, most people are prone to looking at Wallace's "One Flea Spare" with a black and white perspective. This is the first production I saw at my University and it was the opener for the Studio season out here and...wow. This was so electrifying and elegant and that's the best way I know how to put it. The text is like a gorgeous piece of poetry. All of the characters in Naomi Wallace's play are hungry for something more than what they have, and with the subtle use of language and character personality, "Flea" outshines many others. The story is compelling and rich about a wealthy couple forced into a month-long quarantine, lengthened when two unexpected visitors invade their lives. With remarkable prose, this piece is one certain to leave any script enthusiast with much to think about. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
