While attending her aunt's wedding in Inverness, Julia Prentiss is literally swept off her feet by a man who kidnaps her for her fortune. Julia manages to escape from his estate in the Highlands, only to find herself alone, lost, and hunted in a strange land. When she stumbles across a naked man in a lake, she thinks her luck has gone from bad to worse…or has it?

Duncan Lenox lives surrounded by enemies, a MacLawry in a land of Campbells. With three sisters at home who rely on him, he's become a very cautious man. But when an auburn-haired English beauty has nowhere else to turn, he feels obligated to help. When the two are forced to spend the night in an abandoned cottage while a storm rages and enemies circle, they find a mutual passion that could save -- or doom -- them both.

    One sexy story!

This was such an enjoyable short read...I wished it had been longer but it was packed with danger....suspense....and of course some steamy romance. Julia had always thought of romance when she thought of the highlands and its warriors and Duncan was a highlander with three sisters to protect and worry about. But when he came upon Julia he couldn't refuse to help her out....no matter the danger it brought to him. Together they embark on the road to freeing Julia of the man she escaped and they found what they wanted in each other.

This is a fun, romantic and fast paced short story that I very much enjoyed. It's the second book that I've read of Suzanne Enoch's the first being book one of the series "The Devil Wares Kilts" a 5* read that I highly recommend.
The title is very true and Duncan is really one hot scot. He and Julia had great chemistry and even though their relationship move incredible fast it was also believable with how they felt for each other even with just meeting. I can not wait to read the next book. I think it comes out this summer.

An absolutely wonderful novella, One Hot Scot was a fantastic historical romance read. I loved this lovely romance. It was fantastic.

Julia was a heroine who wasn't about to forced into anything. She was strong and determined to find her own way. I really liked her. I thought she was a lovely heroine. Duncan was SO sweet! I totally adored him. He was strong, clever, and determined to protect those he cared about. I thought he was just perfect.

The romance was great. Julia and Duncan were very sweet together. And the chemistry between them started from the moment they met: when Duncan naked in a lake. The sparks between them definitely led to some steamy moments. They were a perfectly matched couple.

The plot was fast paced. I was hooked the entirely way through. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was super sweet. This is a prequel novella to a new series, if I remember correctly, and I can't wait to read more from it.

One Hot Scot was a wonderful novella. I really liked this fantastic historical romance read. It was absolutely lovely. Lovers of romance, this is a novella you'll want to read.

This is book 0.5 in her Scandalous Highlanders series.

Julia Prentiss is wondering the woods trying to get away from the man that kidnapped her from her aunt's wedding. She comes across a man emerging from a lake and he is NAKED! She can't believe what she is seeing. She doesn't know whether to hide and ask the man for help.

Duncan Lenox feels obligated to help when he comes across the stranded lady. He has been out trying to find when is killing his animals and staying at his cabin. Duncan takes Julia back to the cabin where they proceed to get to know each other.

The kidnapper shows up at Duncan's cabin, but he puts them off. He later takes her to his home and proceeds to marry her.

I am a HUGE Suzanne Enoch fan and have read almost all her books, but I really couldn't get into this book. I know that with a novella the action needs to go quickly, but to meet the man, jump into bed with him and then marry him within 24 hours is just a bit unbelievable. Even saying this, I do still look forward to the books in the upcoming series. The next book, The Devil Wears Kilts, is scheduled to come out at the end of the month.

Thanks go to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for a copy of the book in exchange of an honest review.

    Jade

A girl, completely naked save for the chains holding her legs apart and pinning her arms to her sides was thrust into the clearing. A blindfold was wrapped around her eyes and a gag shoved in her mouth. Her hair was long and black, trailing down to the ground and behind her. It also was wrapped around her upper half, squeezing out her huge bo<_>obs and yanking her head back when she struggled against her hair, which was hard as steel. She stumbled as she was shoved in the clearing and fell on her stomach, her bu<_>tt sticking into the air. She whimpered around the gag, struggling fruitlessly as she landed on her bo<_>obs.
