NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 3/4 REVIEW:  Seriously, I can not get enough

    NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 3/4
    REVIEW:
Seriously, I can not get enough of Jill Shalvis’ Lucky Harbor books. Every single book that I have read I have totally and utterly fallen in love with. I am so very upset and hope that this is not true that this is the last Lucky Harbor novel. I know there is a novella to come in December. But I honestly don’t know what I am going to do about not having a new Lucky Harbor book in my future. Well I guess I could do a re-read. And I guess I can hope that Ms. Shalvis will come to her senses and realize that Lucky Harbor needs more love stories.

That being said back to One in a Million. There was just something about Tanner that grabbed me when he stepped on the pages in He’s So Fine. Now don’t get me wrong Cole & Sam are hot and I loved them too. But Tanner stole my heart. There is just something about this tough, wounded, ex Navy Seal that screams “I need a hug”. But never fear Callie seems to have that part covered (darn her ;) ) Anywhoo..... Loved loved loved loved this book. Loved Callie (even if I wanted to slap her up side the head a time or two. Thank goodness for Lucille).

Loved this whole series. And honestly tearing up just a bit that it could be over. But never say never right *sniff, sniff* If you are a Lucky Harbor fan you will totally love One in a Million. If you are new you really should start at the beginning with Simply Irresistible.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and boy am I gonna be honest. I loved this book! It was bittersweet for me as I have read every single Lucky Harbor book and while I hate for this series to end, Jill Shalvis has wrapped it all up in a wonderful happily-ever-after.

Tanner - what can I say about Tanner? He is tough, loyal, smart, confident and did I say hot hot hot? Tanner is a single father to a teenage boy and for a young man himself he is such a good dad, and what can be more attractive to a woman than that?

Callie is the granddaughter of Lucille, yes the same Lucille that has been in every single Lucky Harbor book. Lucille burns up social media with her hysterical antics and in this book, she sums it all up for Callie - all the matchmaking she has done over the years, and her next project is Callie. Callie is a little gun shy, and it is hard for her to trust men. She had a bad experience with a former fiance and she doesn't see herself as lovable. Enter Tanner! Tanner falls hard for Callie right away and she falls right back. Neither one of them can see it/admit it but in the end, they have their HEA!

This is a great book. Enjoy!

    Saved the Best for Last

Jill Shalvis ends the Lucky Harbor series perfectly. If you like Lucille, you must read this one. I have loved every novel in this series, but she truly saved the best for last.

I just love the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis.  Each novel

I just love the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis.  Each novel is a companion novel and can be read as a standalone, though you do get glimpses of characters from previous novels in the series.  One in a Million is Tanner and Callie's story.  It is set in the beautiful little town of Lucky Harbor, and Jill Shalvis has created one of those "book fantasy places" that you just want to be magically transported to.  Being a small town, everyone pretty much knows each others business, especially thanks to Callie's grandmother, Lucille, who is a social media nut and has played a role in so many of the previous novels.

Tanner is a hot, sexy, ex Navy SEAL who is part owner of Lucky Harbor Charters with his best friends Cole and Sam, who the previous two novels were about.  He is also the last most eligible bachelor in the town of Lucky Harbor, at least according to Lucille.  Callie finds herself back in Lucky Harbor after years of being away, here to check on her grandmother for a while.  These two find their path crossing more than once and Callie soon finds her high school crush rekindled for this man.  Both Callie and Tanner have been unlucky in love in the past, and are reluctant to get into a relationship, though the chemistry between them is undeniable.  She is feisty, he's a bit broody and sexy as sin, and the romance between them makes for one of those reads that lets you just get caught up in it and disappear while you're reading it.  I loved the characters and I loved the story.  Once again, Jill Shalvis has delivered an outstanding story that her fans, as well as fans of contemporary romance will love.  Check it out.

Lucille said it best.  Chloe and Sawyer (Head Over Heels) were a favorite...until I met Dr Josh Scott and Grace (Forever and a Day).  Then came Aubrey and Ben (Once In a Lifetime)...who I cheered for and couldn't wait to see how they would fall.  This year, we met Becca and Sam (It's In His Kiss) and I thought..."THEY ARE MY FAVORITE!".  One in a Million is the final book in the Lucky Harbor series, and I agree with Lucille...Callie and Tanner are by far my favorite couple!!!  The entire Lucky Harbor series has the main characters overcoming obstacles and their past.  Callie and Tanner have a history, but not as romantic as Callie wished it could have been.  Tanner was a high school crush...now, they are both back in Lucky Harbor and is it still only a crush, or more?  Callie isn't so sure.  Watching the two of them fall has been by far my favorite.  Catching up with the other characters and even seeing Lucille get engaged wrapped up the Lucky Harbor series in a big red bow!  Can't wait to see what Jill will bring us next!!!

    One In a Million
Dang it! Shalvis has written another shamazing hero. How do they just keep getting better?
Callie owns an online wedding planner service. As a jilted bride, she's somewhat jaded, yet really successful in her career. She returns to Lucky Harbor to keep an eye on her grandma Lucille because her folks think Lucille might not be running on a full battery. Since Callie's business is online, she can work from anywhere, right? But Lucky Harbor is filled with some not so pleasant memories for Callie; the ex who left her at the alter is the dentist on the island, her not quite fulfilling childhood memories, and her first crush...Tanner Riggs.
Tanner has returned to Lucky Harbor with his buddies to open and run Lucky Harbor Charters. His teenage son Troy has moved to Lucky Harbor so Tanner is trying to build a relationship with Troy. Troy seems to be a "chip off the old block" and is feeling the pressure. Tanner also meets up with Callie at the local bakery and they decide to mutually "hide behind each other". A friends with benefits agreement is reached and of course, things begin to heat up.

    One in a Million...worth $$

Tanner & Claire's story was a great way to end this incredible series (Loved the donut choking scene). All the Lucky Harbor books were amazing! I fell in love with an entire town of characters. I will miss them all, including Lucille & her band of geriatric followers! I also know that Jill Shalvis will soon dig deep into her creative soul to create a new series for us to enjoy. I look forward to more of her books!

One in a Million is the last love story in the Lucky Harbor se

One in a Million is the last love story in the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis and it does not disappoint, except for one minor itty bitty thing. I think all of the couples Lucille had a hand in bringing together should have been at the party, along with all their children. It's only fair that we get a tiny glimpse of how things are going after sharing their experiences for twelve books.

In One in a Million, we are introduced to Callie, who is Lucille's only granddaughter. Several years before Callie was literally left at alter and has given up on love and happily ever after. Now she's back in town, running her wedding planning website, and checking on her grandmother's mental state for her parents.

As soon as she gets settled in she meets her high school crush (Tanner) and they start seeing each other, no strings attached, friends with lots and lots of benefits.

Jill Shalvis writes strong but flawed characters, both male and female. Actually, they aren't so much flawed but injured by life. It's fun to watch the as they come together and heal each other and it's refreshing that the alpha male characters are just as flawed.

We all remember Tanner from the previous two books. (He's a partner in Lucky Harbor Charters - the boat charter business he shares with Sam and Cole)

And Callie - she just moved in next door to Becca and Olivia. But she's not really new in town. She grew up here. She's Lucille's granddaughter!!! And her parents sent her to check if Lucille is still able and sane enough to live on her own ¿

Callie left Lucky Harbor years ago when she was left at the alter by her fiancé Eric - who is now Lucky Harbor's only dentist.

Leaving her on her own wedding day was the worst thing anyone could ever do to Callie. Because she's always been in love with weddings - ever since she was a little girl. That's why she combined her nerdy IT skills with her love of weddings and is now running her own online wedding-planner business.

    wwwTyingTheKnotcom

Planning dream weddings for other people. Not for her. Never again for her!!!

Tanner, as we all know, was working on the oil rig with Cole and Sam and Gil - Gil, who died in the fire that also left Tanner with a bad leg injury.

And Tanner has never really gotten over what happened. And he still has the stupid leg to remind him of the fire every single day.

And if that wasn't enough to keep him in a sour mood most of the time, his ex wife just left his 15-year-old son Troy to live in Lucky Harbor with his Dad. A Dad who doesn't really have any idea how to raise a kid. And a really difficult kid too. Karma is really having fun with Tanner at the moment - because he was just the same when he was his son's age!

But with the help of his buddies and lots of patience and love he does everything he can to stop his son from screwing up his life.

    Callie & Tanner.

Callie has had a crush on Tanner forever. She was soo in love with the highschool bad boy. But she was just this nerdy kid back then - he never even noticed her.

    Wrong. He does remember her.

And even better - he seems really interested in her now.

And grandma Lucille and her geriatric gang of Tumblr and Twitter addicts is trying her best to play matchmaker for the "Last Hot Single Guy for Two Hundred Miles". Who better to pair him with than her own grandchild? ¿ Oh, and btw. Lucille now has a youtube channel too ¿¿¿

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO CALLiE &TANNER???
    WiLL THERE BE A HEA???
    WiLL THERE BE A CLiFFHANGER???
    Nope . . . I'm not telling you ¿
    ____________________________

Such a beautiful & funny story!

This being the last Lucky Harbor book ever, I was in a very sad mood when I read it.

But I loved it from the first seconds to the last words.

I know I said the last two books were my favorite Lucky Harbor books ever - but this one is right there with them!!!

    I LOVED IT!!!!

Tanner is this sexy and sad ex Navy SEAL / ex oil-rig explosives expert and now he's about to really fall in love for the first time in his life! - With this adorable klutzy and sexy nerd - Callie.

    They sooo belong together.

Both not believing in love and HEA and all that stuff - but how can they not believe it when it's right there in front of them??

They were sooo cute together - and so funny - their daily 'meetings' at the bakery! Adorable!

And the way Callie falls not only in love with Tanner but also with his son - and the poor boy - who finally starts to be happy again. Ugh - soo moving!

It was such an adorable and funny and sexy and moving Romance and grrrrr I just loved it!

Why does this series have to end :((((((

Can we at least turn the whole thing into a TV series???

I would sooo watch that every week - every day even!!!!

And Lucille?! I will miss her - but she now found the perfect girl for 12 hot guys - she deserves to retire now¿

Like all previous books in the series, but especially like the last 2, this 12th Lucky Harbor Romance had everything I need in my Romances:

    FUNNY SCENES

    VERY SEXY & ROMANTIC SCENES

    MOVING & SAD SCENES

ONE IN A MiLLiON was just PERFECT!!!

And if you haven't read any of those 12 Lucky Harbor Romances - shame on you!!!

    GO. READ. THEM. !!!!!

    #GoodByeLuckyHarbor

But - I'm sure whatever Jill comes up with next will be just as amazing!! ¿

PS ¿ There might be a tiny little Christmas Novella coming from Lucky Harbor on 2 December ¿¿¿

    we'll see Chloe & Sawyer again!!!!! ♥

One in a Million by Jill Shalvis is the 12th book in her wonderf

One in a Million by Jill Shalvis is the 12th book in her wonderful Lucky Harbor series. It is the 3rd book in her trilogy arc, which will end the Lucky Harbor series. All three books in this arc had hot swoonworthy men, who happen to be best friends; with each finding their mate.

This is Tanner and Callie’s story. We met Callie in the last book, when she returned to Lucky Harbor to stay for awhile and keep an eye out for her grandmother, Lucille. She is the crazy funny lady, who is the matchmaker throughout Lucky Harbor series.

Tanner, is another one of the wonderfully hot best friends that run the charter boat in Lucky Harbor. Tanner has been the one who gave up on some of his dreams to take care of others, and isn’t interested in any permanent relationship.

Callie runs an online wedding service, which she helps most brides to be to get over their own issues, and this also makes Callie very squeamish about ever getting married. Especially since her ex fiancée left her at the altar and bruised her heart.

One morning, Tanner sees Callie in the bakery, since it’s the only seat, he sits at her table and he will later recognize her from his school days. For the next few week, Tanner and Callie find themselves looking forward to seeing each other. Those moments were classic fun, that Jill Shalvis does so well. Callie would either choke on her donut, meet her ex fiancée, and forget she was dressed embarrassingly like she just got out of bed. Pretty funny stuff.

We knew right away that Tanner and Callie were meant for each other, as we began to root for them. Of course both have their own issues that convinces them to have a relationship that is friends with benefits only. Into this mix, is Tanner’s teenage son, Troy, who grew up with his mom. Now, Tanner finally gets a chance to love the son he hardly knew. What I loved was how Callie and Troy became close, with her helping him get closer to his father. Very heartwarming.

What follows is a very sexy and sizzling romance between a wonderful fun couple, as well as having quite a few humorous moments.. Tanner is so swoonworthy, and loyal to his friends and family. Callie is a fun, heartwarming heroine, even if she needs some pushing to move past her fears of getting hurt. They made a great couple, and I loved spending time with Becca/Sam and Olivia/Cole. Jill Shalvis has another winner in One in a Million, which is a lighthearted, sexy and fun series, not to mention fabulous characters we have met throughout Lucky Harbor.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book!! LOVE Lucky Harbor!!! As I read each book in this series I fall in love with each guy!! Tanner is a hot Navy SEAL who, like all guys, has some baggage!! He's so good to everyone and helps everyone, except himself!! I'm glad all the guys got their own story in this series, but I'm sad it's over! Even Lucille gets her happy ever after!! This whole series was awesome and is a must read! This book has the correct title because Tanner truly was One in a Million!!

I have loved all of Jill Shalvis' books, especially the Lucky Harbor Series! I am sad to know this is the last one, but it is a great one!! I love Tanner and Callie, their chemistry is great, and the extra bonus of Tanner's son, Troy, and his issues, makes it even more interesting! As usual, Callie's grandmother, Lucille, is causing havoc with her blog, twitter, and tumblr accounts (I personally don't even know what tumblr is!) but she is such a riot!! The relationship with Sam and Cole from the other 2 most recent Lucky Harbor books is great also!! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes modern romance stories that have both humor and the romance you are looking for!! It's a great fun read!!

So I loved this book and I cried through most of it. Not sure if that has to do with it being the last book in the series or if I'm just weirdly emotional right now but anyways I did cry. I also laugh and got all bothered in a good way ;). This is one of my favorite books in the series and I'm happy to see this as the final story. Though and I'm not sure why it took me 12 books to realize this but I finally realized that Lucille is really Jill Shalvis but an older version of herself. Which is probably why I always laugh when she says something and why Lucille always wants to look at the men naked. This was a wonderful series by Jill and I will be sad to see it end but look forward to more books from her.
