Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
This adaptation from the larger format book of the same title works quite well. One little bunny is all alone at the playground enjoying the slide and then he is joined by another bunny and together they play catch. Each spread adds another bunny and they engage in a variety of activitiesriding the merry-go-round, jumping rope, playing tag and the like. Each text insert also shows the number of bunnies in several ways so that kids can count, see the number and begin to understand the concept of addition. The bunnies come in a variety of colors and are all quite engaging. The ending has a neat little twist. A really delightful little package that has a lot to offer. 2001, HarperFestival, $6.95. Ages 2 to 5. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
