"One Night With a Rock Star" is such an intriguing tit

"One Night With a Rock Star" is such an intriguing title...most of us at one point in our lives could have inserted a famous name readily into that role, and fantasized about the possibilities. In ONWARS, Esther has to make a difficult choice as a young girl faced with a dream come true, colliding with the hard truth of giving away her innocence to achieve that dream...or does she? What would it feel like to try being true to your beliefs in the face of the greatest possible temptation? Esther struggles with her choice and we can certainly identify with her emotions, wherever we are in our faith journey. Sky is no ordinary rock star, thankfully, and the story doesn't end after one night.

Once again Chana Keefer paints such a lyrical picture of time and place that we are transported there and never want to leave, from the barns of Texas, to the misty Scottish Highlands. I read ONWARS in one day and didn't want it to end. I can't wait for the sequel!

What does a 20 year old Christian woman do when she gets to meet

What does a 20 year old Christian woman do when she gets to meet the man of her dreams--a gorgeous, talented rock star, whose lifestyle leaves no room for God or faith? If they fall in love, will she abandon her faith and all her Godly convictions so she can fit into his rock star life? Or will her convictions change his mind and heart? This is such an angst-filled/hope-filled/fantasy-filled love story and well worth the read. I'm so impressed by Chana Keefer's storytelling and creation of lovable characters and interesting plot that kept me reading and wondering how it was all going to end. I can't say enough good things about this inspirational romance or its talented author.

God has graced Chana Keefer with insight into real emotions and fearless daydreaming. She's a passionate writer with a vision. This isn't the type of book I usually read, so you can imagine my surprise when I couldn't put it down and I found myself thinking about it weeks after finishing it.
Entering the eyes of the main character, Esther, readers see God work through His children who are in the world, but not of the world. At times, I felt like I read about myself in my earlier college years (although I never met a rock star). The main character is easy to relate to, connect with, and cheer for. She's strong, fighting with morals and trying to get herself out of situations she sees as potentially harmful (emotionally and/or physically). Because of this, I grew to admire her a lot.
The story of Good Christian Girl meets Bad-Boy Rockstar defied the risks of being cliche. Keefer's plot is fresh and well-delivered. I loved both Esther and Sky, not just for their humor and wit, but because they were both likable and human. Neither felt like a cardboard character--they were surprisingly well developed. For such a fairytale-like circumstance, the story still felt very realistic. And for being a romance novel, it is filled to the brim with gripping and intriguing action.
Spiritual themes are thick throughout the book without being preachy. Esther's relationship with God is real and imperfect. The lessons delivered through her story stuck with me far past my hours of reading. I left the story with the reminder God works through all talents and accepts all areas of service. It addresses many issues young girls may face in modern culture. I especially loved how the story showed God working in a Godly woman through areas some other Christians may deem "ungodly" (ex. modeling).
Overall, excellent book. I highly recommend it.

Yep. I hate to admit it, but this story just sucked me in and never let go. As my "headline" states, I'm a 40 something father and for whatever reason, this read just sucked me in and never let go. Maybe it's because I have a daughter just hitting the teen years, maybe it's because I could relate to the ultra smooth male character (ha! not.) or maybe, just maybe, it is because once again Chana Keefer has knocked it out of the ballpark!
God needs to spread this talent around a little more when creating authors...I'd sure like some! :)

I so enjoyed reading this book. I felt so connected with Esther

I so enjoyed reading this book. I felt so connected with Esther and I could completely relate to her convictions. I've never had the chance to spend one night with a rock star, but I could easily identify with her struggles. I really couldn't tell what would happen in the end but once I read the ending I was all too excited to learn that there is a sequel coming! I'll definitely be reading that one too!

I found this book a few months ago. The name looked interesting. I read the description and I thought well you can't judge a book by the cover or title as it goes. I was so hooked. The message was great and right on cue for all young ladies. The author left me at the edge of my seat because I did not know how it would turn out. READ it, share it, love it :) Huge book hang over the sequel can't come soon enough
