As if Luciana Cortez doesnt have enough problems trying to save the family farm and pay her mothers medical bills, her brother uses the last of the mortgage money to buy her a one-night stand. Even if she wasnt boiling with rage, her farm chores leave her with no time to date. The only bright spotshes too busy and exhausted to think about the man whod once pledged to marry her then abandoned her.
Working on an important presentation, CEO Blake Wellington doesnt think twice when he steps out of the limousineuntil the car leaves and he realizes instead of the business he needs to attend to, hes on the doorstep of the farm where his past love Luciana lives. Without cell phone service or transportation to get back to civilization, he must rely on her for help. Powerful attraction and deep hurt immediately swirl between them, compelling him to use the evening to gain closure over the ache of what might have been.
The emotions and memories of the past are stronger than either can imagine, but Blakes business is across the country and Luciana cant leave the farm. When the night is over, they have no choice but to heed their responsibilities and go their separate waysor turn their lives upside down and risk a lifetime of heartbreak.

A quick, sensual read that blends romance and heartbreak ONE NIGHT WITH THE GROOM by Sara Daniel is a quick, sensual read that blends romance and heartbreak into a very enjoyable read. It is the third book in Daniel’s One Night With The Bridal Party series. For optimum enjoyment, I would recommend reading the series in order as there are interconnected characters. However, each can be enjoyed as a standalone if that is what you prefer. The characters shined. Luciana Cortez, our heroine, is a Hispanic whose days have evolved into a trudging ritual of survival. She has been tasked with taking care of her ill, elderly mother and the farm that was her father’s love and joy. Unfortunately, her father passed on after a tragic accident and monies are beyond scarce. Her brother, a Marine who means well, has a gambling streak that is not appreciated by Luciana. The story opens as Luciana’s mother is in the hospital and monies that Luciana had saved to pay towards their farm’s mortgage and her mother’s medical bills are missing. Luciana discovers that her brother has used the monies to buy Luciana a one night stand with Madame Eve’s elite, highly recommended, matchmaking service in the hope that Luciana would secure a lasting relationship with a man who would buy the family out of their money troubles. CEO Blake Wellington, is our hero. He is the brother of Rob, our hero from ONE NIGHT WITH THE BRIDESMAID. After being jilted by his fiancée a short while ago, Rob has a one night stand with Madame Eve’s service in his future also. While scouting out a future business location, he is dropped off at Luciana’s ranch by the limousine that he had hired to take him elsewhere. Blake recognizes the ranch. He was chased from it years ago at the end of a gun barrel by Luciana’s father who had not approved of him because he wasn’t Hispanic nor of the right religion. He and Luciana had been in love back then. He had reluctantly left her and had not dared to return… until now. Daniel’s writing is very good. Even though the novella is only 56 pages, the plot was well defined and the characters were well-drawn. Deja vu romances work well in this short format as no time needs to be wasted introducing the characters; they already know each other quite well so relationship preliminaries can be skipped. ONE NIGHT WITH THE GROOM was a wonderfully engaging second-chance romance. I would highly recommend this book and this whole series to anyone who is looking for an amorous escape via a quick read. Each one has been a treat with a very satisfying happy-ever-after ending. -Reviewed by Linda
