Meet the Author

Eiichiro Oda began his manga career in 1992 at the age of 17, when his one-shot cowboy manga Wanted! won second place in the coveted Tezuka manga awards. Oda went on to work as an assistant to some of the biggest manga artists in the industry, including Nobuhiro Watsuki, before winning the Hop Step Award for new artists. His pirate adventure One Piece, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1997, quickly became one of the most popular manga in Japan.

    I Also Recommend:

If you have read 1-59 it is a must read WONDERFUL!

I you havent read 1-59 then read them right away <3 (the art gets better once the numbers get higher). In book 60 the plot countinues, and it majorly adds to the plot so MUST READ as tittle says (disclaimer: im a 12 year old girl so I dont know if other age ranges/ genders would like this, but I LOVE MANGA AND ANIME, and this is ONE OF THE BEST ANIMES FOR ALL AGE RANGES AND GENDERS, in my openion). the characters in here (which are all my favorite characters) its mostly Luffy, Ace, adn Sabo for half the book, then there are other characters like Dragon, Dark king, all of the straw hat pirates (they fill 1/4 of the book) but now in the book they are completly seperated so that makes it interesting, garp, a bit of law, a bit of hawk eye, and some new world pirates. Anouther thing about the characters is that you know them, they have a personality, os you can feel connected to them, like you know your BFF and I love when animes give characters traits adn personalitys (its like narutos characters but x100). Thye also have this cliff hanger scene where you have to know whats going on so you have to keep reading, and luckily it tells you whats happening and whats happening so soooo sweet!!! dont read this book if you dont like manga or being a fan of something or if you are against one piece. I am always soooooo excited to read one piece I have bought all of the books and it is totally worth it!!! :3
