    I LOVED THIS BOOK

This book was excellant! I loved the story of this big family growing up. I would recommend this for any age even kids, I am 12. I have eight people in my family from the ages of 2-42 and we all loved it. It was so much fun to read about other people growing up and having to do the same things. It was really funny also, plus it helped that the author of this wonderful book is my grandfather and his youngest child is my mom. I really loved this book and I know if you read it you would too.

How to solve family problems the second time around.

'1+1=19' is a uniquely true story of a big family life in a big city. It is an enjoyable story full of life, humor, challenges, compassion, and family sharing. The excitement of combining nineteen people, (step)brothers,(step)sisters,(step)mother, and (step)father into one happy family is a never ending tale. How this was done is a leason in good management and true love. This book is easy reading that is hard to put down once you start.

Fascinating Account of Merging Two Large Families into One

I thought that the book was great! I was amazed at how these two people could be so in love and crazy enough to take the chance and bring their two large families together. I thought it was incredible that with her ten and his seven, they ended up with seventeen children under the age of 18. I really liked reading about how they did it and how they were able to manage a household with so many children underfoot. The fact that they had 12 children in grade school at one time was mind-blowing! I found this to be an inspiring book of hope, love, courage and strong faith. I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling with the challenge of a merged families.
