Can we just agree that when it comes to writing sexy alphas Tia has this nailed down. There hasn't been one alpha that hasn't been HOT! I feel in love with Stuart in One to Leave, then again in Taken, and now One to Take. Hot dang! With this book, you'll laugh, swoon, cry, even quite possibly throw your ereader, but you'll love every page, beginning with page 1. The cemistry that Stuart and Mariska share is completely realistic, and make you believe your reading a journal of someones life. I loved this book, I recommend it to all, and will totally be rereading it. Thank you Tia for yet again, another alpha to make me fall in love.

5.0 star Review One to Take (One to Hold # 8) by Tia Louise One to Take is book 8 in the One to Hold series and is the continuation of Stuart and Mariska’s story. The majority of this story takes place in Montana when Stuart goes back to help his uncle on his ranch. It a place of healing for Stuart, the only place he feels is truly home. What happens though, when a placer of healing becomes a reminder of pain and loss? Stuart and Mariska both need to look deeply into their souls and decide if the love that they have for each other is worth the challenges that life has thrown them. Will it survive and at what cost? These two are meant to be together, pulling each other out of the darkness and into the light. But what happens when tragedy strikes and Mariska cannot fight the despair and pain. Will Stuart’s love be enough to bring her into the light and start believing not only in herself but in their love for each other again? This was a particularly emotional read for me. One To Take does have some heartbreaking moments, which in my case brought up some extremely personal and devastating memories for me. However, Ms. Louise handled it exceptionally well and I was able to finish the book although I did have to take a break for a couple of days. I won’t say more as this is pivotal to the book. The characters in all of Tia Louise’s books seem so real. They feel like family and I love reading a new book to see what has been happening, as she usually touches on a couple of the other members of this wonderful group of family and friends. Tia Louise layers her characters so well and none of them are perfect. They have flaws like we all do and yet she makes them feel so real. I freely admit this book made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me smile and I cheered for Stuart and Mariska to get their happily ever after. Although the books can be read as stand-alone I highly recommend that you read from the beginning as I believe it is a benefit if you read them in order. I love this series and I am eagerly anticipating the next release.

Absolutely blown away by this book! Stuart just make you want to go out and find you own hot cowboy. Stuart is very protective of the ones he loves but doesn't always know how to let them in to understand what he is trying to do. Mariska is strong and always see the beauty in everything. These two are the perfect couple complementing each other in every way. When tragedy strikes Stuart and Mariska love is pulled to the breaking point. Learning to fight for what truly matters to them, you're taken on an amazing ride of emotions. These to show you that no matter what you have to go through there is light at the end of everything. You might have to change but you can find the right path and one that is worth fighting for the things that mean the most to you. You just have to be willing to fight for them. Hope we get to revisit Stuart & Mariska soon!

5 Star Review Book 8 in the One to Hold series and it can be read as a standalone but I think you would get move out of it if you have read the previous books. This is the continuation of Stuart and Mariska's story. This couple have had their fair share of problems and they deserve to be happy but they still have some troubles and emotions to work through before they get their HEA. Stuart is not one to ask for help, he finds it hard to express himself and he spends a lot of times going over things in his own head. Mariska is a free spirit who follows her instincts and she has found true love with Stuart but will love be enough....... This book is a emotional rollercoaster and I felt everyone of the high's and the low's. Its a story of love, tragedy, lust and families, it made smile and it made me cry. I found myself falling in love with these characters all over again. I love the writing style of Tia Louise and to me it was always going to be a must read book.

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆ From the first page of this remarkable novel, a panoramic video unfolds that is so vivid and realistic that you don't realize you are reading. Tia Louise creates a narrative that paints a picture with words filled with drama, angst, love and mystery. In book eight of her One to Hold series, this talented author shares the life of two very different individuals that meet, fall in love but find the path to true love and happiness is not always easy or expected. Marisa and Stuart's story touches the heart and warms the soul, in One to Take, a beautifully written novel with unexpected kinks that you will not want to miss. Finally Mariska Heron has claimed her man. After a rocky start the man she dreamed of is her fiancé and they are starting their happily ever after. But her dreams have returned and they are nightmares that she cannot explain. The only thing she has to hold on to is her love, Stuart Knight. Will that be enough? He never wanted a woman, or a love story, until Mariska. Her freely given love, magnetic personality and gypsy spirit makes her unforgettable and irresistible. Now, Mariska is his and he will hold on tight and never let go. Sometimes the past comes back to haunt and destroy the future. Stuart will not only have to fight his own nightmares, but also save Mariska from hers. Fantastic addition to my Contemporary Romance library. The brooding, wounded Marine turned cowboy is a character so beautifully formed that you will want him for yourself! The storyline is refreshing, edgy and at times will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next!

When I say that I haven't read a book by Tia Louise that I did'nt love, I am not kidding. This entire series is one of my absolute favorites. Each book focuses on two main characters that are sure to win your hearts. And if that wasn't enough, they are full of amazing secondary characters that you already know and love. This book is about Mariska and Stuart. We have read about them before but now we are getting deeper into emotions, sadness and joy, anger and love. But whatever emotion you are feeling at the moment, you will not be disappointed and will come out joyful in the end. I enjoyed getting more of their story and more about them. And as usual, keeping in touch with other characters that I fell in love before. Amazing work Tia!! Love it!!

5 star The story has laughs, twists and turns, secrets, pain, ton of pleasure, and heartbreak. I would recommend reading the below before reading this story One to Hold (One to Hold, #1) One to Keep (One to Hold, #2) One to Protect (One to Hold, #3) One to Love (One to Hold, #4) One to Leave (One to Hold, #5) One to Save (One to Hold, #6) Runaway (One to Hold, #6.5) One to Chase (One to Hold #7) This is more of Mariska and Stuart’s story. Mariska and Stuart are engaged and working their way to being married. When Mariska wants to train a horse Stuart agrees but want to be there for all the training. When an accident happens that takes away more than they were willing to give up they are both devastated. When one runs and the other goes back home you have to wonder if they will ever get the love back. When Mariska goes through old papers and finds out old secrets will she decide she is not who she thought? Or will Stuart step up and make her see she is perfect the way she is and there is nothing wrong with her? Can these two broken souls find their way back to each other? I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book, the series, and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Stuart is loving, stubborn and so very protective and will do anything to keep Mariska safe and happy, even if it means giving up what truly makes him happy and keeps him at peace. He has suffered a lot in his past and the ranch is his home, his solitude and his life. As protective as he is, I did say he is stubborn and this stubbornness makes for some rough patches with the two of them. I seriously wanted to smack the stubborn right out of him at one point lol Mariska is light hearted, loving and eager to please Stuart. She is willing to give up everything to keep him happy at the ranch - after all it's what she really wants too. She never thought it would affect her the way it did but the ranch slowly becomes her home and her family. This beautiful story of tragedy, love, lust and family will make you smile, weep and want to jump into their lives. It challenge Mariska and Stuart to look inside themselves and trust each other. It causes so much turmoil and trouble for the two of them....can they ever make it back to each other?

Did you think that Stuart & Mariska's story was over? Well, you've got another thing coming with this read. It was a true joy to witness a previous couple that got their HEA to be bombarded by life as well as their pasts and attempt to continue on in a relationship. Joy is probably not the right word due to the emotional roller coaster as well as the heartache. True love doesn't always make a relationship pretty and this story shows the actual work that goes into them on a regular basis. It's got everything from confronting your demons, letting go of emotions and finding yourself when you feel lost. You won't be disappointed with this one. Tia does a phenomenal job in creating gut wrenching scenes that will leave you breathless, full of hope that obstacles can be overcome and wondering if they'll get back to truly being each other's half. Pick it up. You won't be disappointed. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Ever fantasize about falling for a sexy cowboy? Then this one's definitely for you! Minor spoilers alert!!! I loved that we got to see Mariska and Stuart being happily in love, teasing each other, trying to work out their plans for a life together long term, and having plenty of steamy sex before their relationship was tested with a serious tragedy. ‘We lost sight of how much we had.’ ~Stuart Thank goodness for their support network of family and friends who stepped up to help in any way they could and to also give objective advice. Mariska’s best friend, Kenny and her boyfriend, Slayde were rocks when she struggled with her identity crisis post-tragedy. Friends don’t come any better than them. And, I freaking loved Stuart’s uncle Bill! That old hippie cowboy was absolutely integral to helping Stuart understand how he wasn’t entirely like his father, that he could “man up” and fight to hold on to what he had with Mariska. “You gave me the best advice of my life when you told me to take back what was mine.” “I only know what I saw. Mariska loves you. You love her. Life is hard, and it dealt you a tough blow. But you’re strong. You’ve always been stronger than whatever life threw at you.” Personally, I’m a huge fan of epilogues, so I was delighted when author Tia Louise gave us a glimpse into the future for Mariska and Stuart with a nice meaty one that put a smile on my face.
