Haven't finished it yet but I keep getting prompted to review it. I enjoy what I've read so far and have already purchased the third book in this set. Stephen Donaldson's characters are so vivid, so real... It's truly a pleasure to follow them on their adventures.

This is my least favorite of the Convenant books. The acctual story kept me excited and thrilled all the way through, I guess what I didnt like was the ending. The whole book was set up for the book to end a certain way but when I found out that I had just read the whole thing and theyre not gunna do what they were there for, i was a little upset. The odd thing is that when I am disapointed with a book, I am not interested on contiuing, but not this one. I finished the one tree begging for more, even though I didnt like it. I think that the events were well thought out and well written. It kept me turning the page in rivalry with my conciouns, which was telling me to go to bed at 2 in the morning. I think you all should read and enjoy as much as you can. I cant wait to get the next one.
