It's a parade of wheels! In this counting book, each member of the family is displaying their favorite type of wheel as they travel along. Among some of the parade members we see Mama riding in her wheelbarrow with one wheel, Grandpa zipping along on his roller blades with eight wheels, and the narrator performing his ten cartwheels. And the parade is wheeling its way to the biggest wheel of all—a Ferris wheel! This is a basic counting book that will not only entertain readers with its fun words and pictures, but also help them learn their basic counting at the same time. The colorful and whimsical illustrations add humor to each family member's wheeled object of choice. 2003, Candlewick Press, Ages 3 to 6.

PreS-K-Wheels on boldly colored, whimsical vehicles range from 1 to 10, as an extended family gets ready for the fair. Improbability is found on each spread from the toddler pushing mom and a piglet in a wheelbarrow and Gramma whizzing by on her motorcycle to brother washing his upside-down rainbow bus and Grampa's extra-wide stride on speed skates. Many improbabilities are resolved eventually in a parade, with mom pushing baby, sister pushing the tricycle that is far too big for her to pedal, dad pulling brother's upside-down bus on his flatbed truck, while grandpa stunt skates with one foot overhead. The fun concludes as they join some friends and pile into a huge car on an otherwise empty Ferris wheel. Meet the Author

Carole Lexa Schaefer is the author of many acclaimed picture books for children, including the award-winning DOWN IN THE WOODS AT SLEEPYTIME, illustrated by Vanessa Cabban. She says of ONE WHEEL WOBBLES, "I wanted to create a counting book for children with which they could have a rollicking good time."

Pierr Morgan has illustrated numerous books for young readers including the award winning title THE SQUIGGLE, also written by Carole Lexa Schaefer.
