"You shall love the Lord you God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." - Matthew 22:37

Our highest call in Christ is to love God completely, with every part of who we are. If Jesus is the desire of our heart then loving Him with our entire being is to be our focus and goal. But is it really possible to love God with all our heart?

Overview

"You shall love the Lord you God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." - Matthew 22:37

Our highest call in Christ is to love God completely, with every part of who we are. If Jesus is the desire of our heart then loving Him with our entire being is to be our focus and goal. But is it really possible to love God with all our heart? And if it is possible, how can we experience the reality? How can we know and love Jesus in a way that is all-consuming, intimate and real?

To grow in our love for Jesus, we need the theory of love to become our personal experience. We need to seek God to make His truth our reality. So do we want to grow in Jesus? Will we give ourselves to loving Him with all our heart?

In these studies, we start by looking at Scriptures that focus on reality. We learn of the abundant life that God has called us to and how He works in us to create that life. We go on to discover how the Spirit of God grows us through spiritual experience as He takes us from theory into reality.

This series provides the foundation for the following series which looks closer at growing in God and being united with Jesus. May you find blessing and life as you discover your call to be one with Christ.

This book made me think and then gave me insight to what God wants in my life. Relationship! I have read it once and.plan on reading it again. Once I started understanding the reality of what God can do in my life, I couldn't pit the book down. And, it was free...WOW!

This was an awesome read. I used it like a devotional; one chapter a day. It really drew me to the heart of God.

This is directed to those who believe the King James "version" of the Bible is the "true" and "only" version of the Bible. I hate to burst your bubble...but God inspired men who wrote in HEBREW and GREEK to write the "original" Bible. Later translations of the original manuscripts have things "added or left out" because the language has been studied and understood better through the years. KJV is an excellent version...but so are many other versions. You are right that God wrote one book...but just like books written today are "translated" into other languages, the KJV is really only a "translation"...like so many other versions. Your post is the one that is encouraging my spirit to read this book...thank you.

Excellent book for daily biblical nourishment for the more learned Christian. Gives wise explanations of GOD'S wonderful WORD that remind us that there is still more to learn from the Bible.

I didn't know what to expect since it was a free book, but I felt it was a good read and one that I would recommend to others. Other reviewer mentioned didn't understand why the author used more than one translation. Sometimes we can glean something from one translation that others might not show. Just for the record "The King James Version" Translation is not "The Holy Bible", but one translation of the bible which is written in hebrew and greek. Some of the newer translations give a clearer understanding and help to put it in context.
