We have used this book for a few years now as an outgoing gift to our elders in our church. Several have come back at a later date purposefully to say how much they have enjoyed using this book daily. We will continue using this as long as it is in print.

The Book of Psalms is one that touches the heart for all our lives. In Psalms one reads about love, war, fear, jealously, murder, enemies, praises to God and the importance thereof to finding the real way to allow God to come within your heart. King David gives us words of prayer as he prayed and talked to God openly. Psalms takes me to a place that I know God see and knows all about me and nothing is hid from Him. The Book assures me of His care of me and protection and provisions for me. Psalms is filled with anxiety of heart, for King David lived the life of a huge sinner, yet the life of a "man after God's own heart". I love the commentaries written on the page next to the Psalm verses of the day; the Notable Quotables by great men of God that obtained so much wisdom through their own studies and knowledge of our Heavenly Father. Their wisdom is shared for me to ponder the things God taught them. I also like the Bible references that send me further to find other Scripture about the same subject matter of the daily readings. This is an awesome Book for one who loves God the Father, and believes in Jesus the Son who was foretold to be born in years to come; for a person who actually loves God so much, you just want to know more about Him. Psalms is challenging also as I personally read, and the commentary helps me learn more of an understanding of the Psalm of the day....I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!

This book has opened my eyes to the real meaning of the Psalms. The daily section after each Psalm is so rich in history and helped me really understand what was happening at the time the Psalm was written and how to relate it to everyday living now. This is a 'must read' for deepening your spiritual understanding of the Psalms.

Very good yearly devotional to meditate on the psalms in one year. The only thing I did not like is that some psalms were dived among 2- 3 days. Most likely due to the individual length to keep each day manageable. This is a great idea as the psalms are rich in Gods word. Cant think of a better devotiomal idea
