Editorial Reviews

VOYA - Lona Trulove
Issues in the Digital Age is a very informative series. Two of the books from this series, Online Security and Online Privacy are such important topics in today's world of technology that it is wonderful to see easy-to-understand information available for adults and teens alike. Safety and privacy in regards to technology can be overwhelming topics for the average consumer; fortunately, this series does a very good job of breaking these topics down into manageable chunks within each chapter. The "Facts About..." section at the end of each book is very interesting and would be a good addition in reports or presentations. The "Related Organizations" section is provides very helpful information for further research. This is a wonderful series for any classroom teacher having students research technology in the world today. It would be especially helpful in technology education classes where learning to navigate the computer and become computer savvy are important topics. Counselors and administrators would find these books helpful when presenting parent workshops on technology and how to help their children—and themselves—use it safely. This series would be an excellent addition both in the media center as well as the classroom, or guidance office. (Issues in the Digital Age) Reviewer: Lona Trulove
