Overview

He'd promised to love her forever, but would always be long enough?

Colt Butler could make a woman shiver or bring swooning back into style, but Ann Debeau knew she was really in trouble when the blue-eyed rebel made her toes curl under! Drawn to this stranger who seemed to know all her secrets, spellbound by memories she couldn't explain, she responded with wild abandon to his every caress. Could a dreamer who'd waited more than a lifetime finally claim the woman who'd broken every rule for love?

Reminding us that nothing is more romantic than love without end, Peggy Webb creates an exquisitely memorable tale that transcends time and weaves real magic. He'd charmed her with kisses sweeter than cherries, had known without asking that wild roses were her favorite, but was fate playing matchmaker . . . and could the impossible somehow be true?

Read an Excerpt

"Do you ever swim naked in the bay?" Colt asked.

"In the moonlight?" Annie asked.

"Do you read minds?" she asked. Only moments before, the image had inexplicably flashed through hers.

"No. I barely have time to read newspapers. You were thinking the same thing?"

"I don't want you to get the wrong idea," she said quickly.

"Don't worry. I've been called a rake and a Southern fried Romeo, but never a cad." His grin was wicked.

"Thanks for the ice cream, Colt. I have to run; I have a million things to do."

"You didn't finish."

She gazed with longing at her dish. Laughing, Colt scooped up the whipped cream and cherries, and held the spoon to her mouth. How could she resist?

"You always save the best for last," he said.

"How did you know?"

"I do, too." He scraped the last bite from her bowl, then cupped her chin while she ate. She closed her eyes in sheer appreciation of the moment.

"Hmmm.... the last bite is always the best." Suddenly she felt another touch, on her lips this time, whisper soft, gentle as dew falling on roses. Colt's lips on hers.

It was a brief kiss, so brief that when she opened her eyes she thought she might have dreamed it. Except for the gleam in his eyes. . .

    To fall in love...

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Ann and Colt, Annie and Anthony...a love story across time! 350+ pages long, only a little confusing here and there but not unexpectedly with the dreamy time travel sequences. Interesting and realistic characters. Loved it!

I don't normally read novels about time travel but I was hooked on this story the miniute I started reading it. This was a fast read and a sweet love story covering two generations. I have never read a novel by Peggy Webb but will look forward to finding more books written by her. Hope the rest of you like it.

Don't miss reading this one! Another WINNER!

A sequel to CHRISTMAS IN TIME, this awesome time travel romance takes the heroine, Ann Debeau, back to Fairhope to close Windchime House. The setting, the characters and the events in this book are so real I felt as if I were in the middle of Hurricane Bethany with Ann Debeau, walking the streets of New Orleans with Charlotte Ann Harris, on a polo pony with Colt Bulter, in a plane over the Pacific with Anthony Chance. This incredible time-travel romance fascinates and enchants. I highly recommend it!
