This is a collection of interviews with Dyson (Race Rules; Making Malcolm; etc.), the professor, public intellectual and Baptist minister, on topics ranging from homoeroticism and the Bible to jazz and hip-hop. However, the format makes Dyson's reflections more inviting than they might otherwise be to casual readers. Meet the Author

Michael Eric Dyson, named by Ebony as one of the hundred most influential black Americans, is the author of sixteen books, including Holler if You Hear Me, Is Bill Cosby Right? and I May Not Get There With You: The True Martin Luther King Jr. He is currently University Professor of Sociology at Georgetown University. He lives in Washington, D.C.

    Deep, Liberating, and a Good Convo Starter for those who read it.

    I like it when an Author such Dr. Dyson can stimulate thoughts about our own feelings. He engages in all of his books for the reader to get real with themselves and strectch beyond the sterotypes, biases, educational and social barriers that binds us. Since meeting him when he spoke at my University in GA (FVSU) he has reignited my passion to become another but effective black intellectual to reunite the passion we(african Americans, Blacks, Africans, or however we classify ourselves) Once had during civil rights movement. Unity truth and integrety is what we need to re-establish our tarnished legacy.
