several mysteries. The appearance, and disappearance, of strangers and
a herd of Appaloosas on the ranch, a tale of a mysterious trail and a

Traci Clesson couldn't know that she was about to enter the most
exciting and dangerous summer of her entire life when she flew back home
to her father's ranch not far from Santa Barbara, CA. Traci and her
neighbors and friends are dropped into the middle of several mysteries
at her Southern California ranch home. A herd of disappearing
Appaloosas, mysterious strangers on and near the Flying Angel (the
Clesson family's ranch), a gorgeous black Arabian stallion, and a
kidnapping will keep you turning pages in this book. The author's
extensive horse knowledge makes this an informative read for horse
lovers and owners, as well as a learning experience for those who have
merely dreamed of one day owning their own horse. The characters and
their dialog are quite believable, and you will enjoy the descriptions
of the beautiful countryside without getting bogged down. The action is
fast enough to keep the reader's interest, and you will feel part of the
story. Traci's story will grip your heart-strings and give you a lift.
"Open Wide Your Heart" WILL also keep you in suspense, waiting
to see what will happen next! Although this is Barbara's first
published novel, she has been writing short stories for Union Gospel
Press of Cleveland, OH, since 1979, as well as having published articles
and/or photos in a number of national magazines. Barbara is working on
a second novel in the Traci Clesson series as well as three other
Christian fiction books, including a Civil War novel entitled "Moon
Riding High." She has also edited "Goat in the Belfry," a
book that was written by her husband John's grandmother, Mary M. Abbott,
about life in her central PA village. This book is available from
several small museums in the Centre County area, including the Penns
Valley Area Historical Museum and the Gramley School Museum, which is
currently being restored and preparing to open.
