    Helpful ; Fascinating and Realistic

Stoddard's approach gives one the 'eyes' to see the world analytically and creatively. Rather than focusing on the display of pretty rooms, she gives advice and information about basic design principles which one can incorporate into a home with little to no expense. The book includes a smattering of quotes from sages throughout the ages which adds a delightful literary bend to the reading. This book is as much about the art of living well as it is about creating a comfortable home.
