For fans of Homeland and Covert Affairs!
***#1 Romantic Suspense, #2 Romance, #3 Bestseller in 2010!
***1st Place Winner of the New England Readers Choice Award for Best Romantic Suspense!

First in the award-winning romantic suspense Super Agent series by USA TODAY bestselling author Misty Evans. Originally published in 2008. Re-released in 2014 with fresh editing, a sexy new cover, and bonus material at the end of the book!

Julia Torrison—codename Sheba—is keeping secrets.

Seventeen months ago she was one of the CIA’s super agents, facing down dangerous terrorists with her partner and lover Conrad Flynn. After a mission was blown and Conrad died, Julia was yanked back to Langley and given a new identity. She is now the Counterterrorism Center’s top analyst, spending her days at CIA headquarters and her nights in her boss’s bed. Her former life as a secret agent has been sealed off with her heart.

Former SEAL Conrad Flynn—codename Solomon—has his own secrets.

For starters, he’s not dead. Going under the deepest cover possible, he faked his own death to save Sheba’s life. Now he must tear that new life apart and ask for her help to hunt down a traitor inside the Agency’s walls.

Is Conrad a rogue operative or a jealous ex-lover looking for revenge?

Julia must risk everything for the man who still holds her heart in order to decide. Drawn into a web of seduction and betrayal, she is forced to play the spy game of her life, flushing out an Agency mole and stopping a hostage situation using nothing more than her iPod and her intuition.

Julia and Con are more than just partners in the CIA they have become lovers. This time Con may have taken on the wrong terrorist group. The Berlin assignment ends tragically and Julia is called back to Langley to recover and change her identity and job. She no longer works the field but is one of the CIA's top terrorist analyst. She is recovering from her last assignment, has settled into her new persona and is even dating her Boss Michael tho they keep their relationship strictly business at work, no lunches together nothing to make tongues wag. Just as their relationship starts to solidify and Julia now known as Abigail has settled into her new life and job, a few ghosts from her past pop back up in her life.

There are enough twists and turns to keep you guessing about what will happen next. Who will win the game that has been ten years in the making?

The characters are believable and the bad guy is truly bad one that makes you wish you could help Julia put an end to this game once and for all.

This is the first book by Misty that I have ever read, and it is safe to say it will not be my last.

If you like espionage, intrigue and thrills with a bit of romance then this is the book for you. This review is from the 2014 ebook .

    My Review

4.4 Star Review – Operation Sheba (Super Agents, Book 1)

    I recommend this book.

This book is jam packed full of suspense and a real page turner.

Julia and Conrad were in love already in the beginning but after he died she was sucked into another life.

Conrad is in fact alive and needs Julia's help.

Can she trust and love him again after he faked his own death?

Or will he just get her killed in the end.

I felt it was more suspense than romance but still a great read.

Strong characters throughout the story keeps the pages turning and keeps the reader invested in the story.

Operation Sheba definitely did not disappoint. There are spies galore--primarily CIA with some FBI thrown in--and a SEAL task force and female sniper (!) tossed in for good measure. The CIA mole is dastardly and completely without a conscience--and creepily well-prepared with backup plans for their backup plans. There's misdirection and attempts to frame the good guys, and...yeah, it was total catnip in so many ways. The big takedown at the end was all I could have hoped for, and our heroine here is smart, resourceful, and refuses to take any crap from anyone. She's awesome.

The action and suspense portions of this book are fantastic.

The romance, though? Less page time is devoted to it--a lot of the development of both romances (yeah, it's a triangle--not my favorite--but the reasons for it here are better than most so I didn't really mind that aspect so much) occurs before the novel begins. We see a little bit of them in flashbacks, but it's not quite enough to get the reader fully invested in their awesomeness. I enjoyed that aspect of the novel, but it didn't feel as real as the action and suspense bits.

And I'm still not convinced Julia made the right choice in the end.

Though the fact that the spurned guy gets his own book--eventually; because darn it, it's not book two in the series--does make me feel somewhat better.

Ah, well, it's her (fictional) life. I'm sure she'll be (fictionally) happy in it, right? ;)

Meanwhile, I'm totally going to pick up that other guy's book. Soon--because I definitely need a Super Agent fix.

    Great Book!!
I loved this book; it is going to be a great series! If you like romance, suspense, and action then you need to read this book. I stayed up reading this book all night because I just could not put it down. When I got to the end of a chapter, something else happened and I had to read what was next, before I knew it I was finished reading it. I love the characters in this book! Julia was a CIA agent, when her mission was blown and her partner died, they pulled her back to the United States, and gave her a new identity. Now seventeen months later, she is visited by Conrad her dead partner and ex lover. She learns that Conrad faked his death to go undercover to save Julia’s life and find out who the mole is in the CIA. Now that Conrad is back they must work together to find the mole, and try and stay alive. I can’t wait until the next book in this series comes out, I want more!
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I've read other books by this author and was excited to read this one.
Misty's writing is intense and full of edge on your seat action. It's very hard to put the book down until you've read it all. The characters walk off the page and pull you along on a life and death CIA adventure, with enough twist and turns to keep you guessing. But it doesn't stop there. Our heroine must work with a past love that she thought was dead, and a friend who became a lover. Sexual tension flies as choices must be made...their lives and their hearts depend on it. If you love suspense with hot spicy chemistry between the characters, you'll love this book.

Julia Torrison works for the CIA. Now she is an analyst but before that she was a covert operative with the code name of Sheba. She was very good at what she did. After the death of her partner, Conrad, she rebuilt her life. She assumed a new identity. She is now Abigail Quinn. Danger has found her again. Conrad is alive. He faked his death. An unknown enemy has targeted her and her fellow agents. Will this evil succeed? Who is the mastermind? Misty Evans has written a suspenseful and intriguing story. All the characters are strong and compelling. I especially enjoy that Julia is feisty heroine who can save herself as well as those she cares about. Conrad is a loner but he has one weakness, Julia. He is charming in his own way, gutsy and determined. Together they are unstoppable. Their interaction is intense and very sensual. I love this first book in the Super Agent series. Readers will enjoy the twists and turns. I know I was hooked.

    Loved this book!

This was my first book by Misty Evans and I loved it. I tend to enjoy books like this in general - men in power that sometimes have to straddle the line of what is legal/lawful for the sake of whomever or whatever they are saving. I also love a strong heroine that can hold her own and Julia is that! This book had a love triangle in it, but not in a typical sense. You saw the love triangle from the beginning so there was no build up there, but I liked it. I enjoyed the characters and they all seemed to be real/developed well enough that they all acted the way you would expect, which is good and I never had to question any of their decisions/actions. I was worried that the book might be too long when I looked at the number of pages, as sometimes longer books seem to be filled with fluff, but this one had me reading every word and it all seemed relevant to the story. My favorite scenes were definitely of Julia and Conrad's private moments where you could see the love for each other (I am a sucker for that stuff). The intimate scenes were nicely done and appropriate throughout the book. The character Ace was a hoot. Everyone needs an Ace in their lives. The scene where Julie is in the car talking to Conrad and Smitty (she knows she is bugged and they can hear her) is a hoot. Julie is just perfectly matched for Conrad and you can’t get enough of them. I look forward to reading more about Michael in the future because I was rooting for him, too. I would highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading the others in the series!

Highly Recommeded- Action packed with Adventure that you must check out!

"Hotshot spies never die. They just slip undercover." That one line from the cover of the book describes it all. When Conrad dies, his CIA partner and lover Julia gets brought back to the farm, and given a new identity. After months of grieving, and a new love in her life, Her boss Michael, Julia must face the truth. Conrad is alive, and he's come back. There is a mole in the CIA. So how does one find a mole? If your hot shot CIA Agent Conrad Flynn, you fake your death, protect your lover, and you do your job until you find out the truth. If you can win your lover's heart back, hey all the better, right? Julia and Conrad along with select trusted friends are in for the fight of their lives as they seek to find the mole that is costing Agent's their lives. Filled with all the action you would anticipate with a CIA thriller, Operation Sheba is an adventure you won't want to put down, I know I couldn't.
